We went for an early dinner without a reservation, and a table was promptly provided for us. The waiter was very helpful and assisted us in choosing the dishes. We got the fried okra, which was a delightful experience, also we got butter chicken, I enjoyed its flavor with both bread and rice.We also ordered shrimp masala, which was tasty, though I expected it to be better. Overall, the restaurant atmosphere was lovely, and the staff were cooperative. It's worth trying more than once.

Landmark spot for some incredible Indian food! Each dish we had was better than the last. Service was good and price was fair.Since this spot is so well known you'll need to book a reservation weeks in advance or be prepared for a lengthy standby line. But it's all worth it!

For a restaurant chain this one was by far the best I’ve had - Indian restaurant. The service was excellent. Not too pushy, not too fast but the timing is just right. When the food comes, it’s still very fresh and you can tell that even when this is such a big restaurant, there’s a lot of staff and team members who make it work. I love the location there’s many but I went to the convent garden one and by far the displays and the way they set up the tables. It all works with the flow and it is very welcoming. The food I’ve never gone back to a chain restaurant twice. The food is just superb. Excellent and it was really really tasty. Different touch, different texture, and flavour every time I went. I would go back again if I had a choice, but all of the food that we chose was very delicious.

I came here about 2 years ago and had such a good experience I was dying to go back. I stopped in during a long layover and the line was around the restaurant corner, luckily I had reservations. Although there was a separate reservation line we still waited 15 minutes after our actual reservation time to get seated. The food was delicious but not as life changing as I remember. The highlights for me are actually the dessert rice based pudding and the chai. Service was good as well but definitely pricey for the small portions.

It's the third time I'm eating here. The food was great, amazing flavours combined perfectly. It's always a treat. The only thing we weren't very pleased about was the staff coordination. The place was very busy and I understand that it can be challenging at times, but the customer experience should come first. Our drinks arrived mid-way through the meal. Then, the rice we ordered with our second course did not arrive at all. We had to ask the team to cancel it and re-ordered a biryani, which came very fast.

We were looked after by Frank during our visit. He was excellent at managing dietary requirements on our table, service was as quick as it could be and with a friendly smile. The food, as always, was good and there is a good range of options of meat and vegetarian dishes. They also have a good variety of cocktails if you want to try. The Bolly Bellini was very popular on our table.

We came to this place around 2:30pm but the place was still very busy but they seated us straightaway. The space between each table was so tight that you would barely have any space to manoeuvre between two tables. The waiter that took the first order was friendly and efficient. However, there felt a general lack of either the staff or attention as once the food is ordered, it was very hard to get any attention from any staff including when my Roti did not arrive with my main course. There were some nice flavours in dishes like the chickpea salad but overall I didn’t find the food to be as exciting or flavourful as they sounded on the menu - lamb curry was quite plain and did not feel much of spice or heat, roti was quite dry and didn’t have chewiness.

I’m totally in love with this place! LOVED the whole experience, the food is to die for! You can totally see that from my videos and pictures. The staff was great and the line outside was worth the wait.. like a whole line of people, stayed 20-30mins tops.

This is one of those restaurants that has been on my “bucket list” for quite awhile, and I’m delighted that I finally made a reservation in advance, as you have to, and got to enjoy this wonderful restaurant. The decor and atmosphere is fabulous; think colonial India with a nice, eclectic music selection playing in the background. The service was first class and the dishes came out very quickly. The food was absolutely incredible and surpassed all my expectations. Not your usual/typical Indian faire, but some absolutely amazing taste sensations. Best to start with some small plates and then have a few sharing plates. Everything we ordered was superb and the house chaat was so amazing we actually had it three times! Perfect restaurant for a pre-theatre dinner (just around the corner from the St. Martin’s theatre plying The Mousetrap, or a special meal with family. Will definitely be back again.

This place is always a favourite. Ryan wad looking after our table, his recommendations were worth going with, and also a surprise as I would have not really ordered them. Everything on the menu looks good, though.Bottomless chai 1st time I tried, it could just not get enough.
