You can appreciate the variety of the modern artists and the beauty of the of the space...very friendly staff. There is a nice bar, easy to reach and definitely a place to go! Highly recommended.

Just went to the Transcending Boundaries exhibition, amazing.

More security staff than paintings. They are watching your every step. I love art for always making me feel something, positive or negative. This place made me feel simply uncomfortable.

Recently relocated, Pace's new location is undoubtedly impressive and provides greater scope for large scale exhibitions. The upstairs space is well thought out, spacious and importantly provides space for the art to breathe. The downstairs space works well for a single or a few large shallow sculptural works. On our recent visit we were treated the paintings and sculptures of Japanesec artist Yoshitomo Nara. His works are whimsical yet also carry a distinctive ominous undertone. While I prefer his more finished and defined paintings, the studies and scrappier paintings on wood and cardboard did sit well within his overall aesthetic. The highlight were the huge head sculptures on the lower level, these were both crude and refined. Overall, a visit to Pace is well worth it and I look forward to their schedule for 2022.

Great Sam Gilliam exhibition

Wonderful exhibition of late Rothko works ( from 1968, two years before the artist passed away). It is impossible to overestimate the importance of seeing these works firsthand as opposed to reproductions. The latter simply do not do justice to the internal revolutions and expressive borderlands between domains of colour, especially in the late darker works. It was a privilege to see this exhibition. An extremely high quality free exhibition two minutes walk away from Oxford circus station. No free lunch? Eat your words, Milton Friedman.
