The Harbour Club Day Care Centre Hullbridge

Therapy based day care centre for older adults living with Dementia. It is a specialist day and well-being centre. They offer activities and support for older people living with dementia. Led by Occupational Therapist and other care professionals to deliver a high level of care . Staff are trained and working based on principles of person centred dementia care. Services provided Monday to Thursday, 9.45am to 3.45pm. Welcoming atmosphere, lovely staff, loads of laughter and fun.

My mum attended The Harbour Club for six and a half years . Increasing from one to four days over that time.Throughout, the staff were always professional kind and approachable. Mum always agreed to attend and although she could not remember that she had been or what she had done she was always relaxed and happy when she came out.As mums dementia progressed the staff adapted to her increasing needs and kept us informed of any changes they had observed. We felt very supported, the staff were very much part of mums support team.We cannot thank them enough for the love, care and friendship they shared with mum and for the peace of mind that they gave us while she was in their care.We would highly recommend this club to anyone who is living with dementia.Heather and Kevin

I started working here a few weeks ago as a volunteer. It is a warm, caring, happy day centre for people with dementia.I wish there had been somewhere like this for my mum to go many years ago.

I have been volunteering at the Harbour Club for 11 years the members really enjoy themself with singing, dancing, quizzes, crafts and so much more.After lunch, the team do the quick Daily Mail crossword with the members its surprising to see how much they start to recall.The friendliness of the staff and the brilliant atmosphere make it a lovely place to be hence the long time I have been volunteering.

My elderly father started at the Harbour Club a few weeks ago and currently attends one day a week. From day 1 the staff have been friendly, welcoming and supportive of both me and my Dad and my Dad thoroughly enjoys his time there. It has given him the opportunity to socialise, interact and engage with other people as well as the opportunity to join in with the many varied activities that are provided in a safe and caring environment.I can't praise the Harbour Club highly enough both for the care it provides for my Dad but also the peace of mind it gives me that my Dad is having a wonderful time.The added bonus is that Dad has a home cooked 2 course meal at lunchtime and that the Harbour Club provides transport.
