The buying process is ruthless, distressing and based on bullying. Many people had their homes taken off them after agreeing a sale. The photos show the standard of planting provided when we moved in. And today the vibrations from construction work were so strong that our inside double glazing panel shattered. Barratt Homes are refusing to cover this under warranty and denying that construction work took place. They also refuse to come and assess the damage. Avoid this developer at all costs. The people living here are lovely but the process of buying and dealing with Barratt Homes is soul destroying and deeply distressing.

We had an excellent experience in our house purchase at Darwin Green. The staff were very helpful throughout the process and not just until the purchase process is completed but provided us with tremendous support towards full settlement in the house. They have been so attentive towards any minor issues and fixed them immediately for us. In particular, I would like to thank Alice Connor who has been a great source of support throughout the process providing us with all the necessary information for our smooth settlement in the new house. The whole process was a nightmare. BH made lots of promises and then backtracked on all of them. Eventually we made a reservation which was also a very uncomfortable process - they told us we had 2 hours to make the decision otherwise the deal was off. We reserved a house and then BH said they no longer wanted to stick to their offer and after taking the initial deposit they withdrew. No explanation given at all! We later found that several of our friends had the same experiences and it seemed like a scam to us for a moment. Won't be recommending!

Unbelievable, it seems like BH has a nasty habit of promising things and making people sign contracts and then changing their minds. Same thing happened to us and to friends of ours. So unprofessional and untrustworthy. Do not buy with them!

Very disappointed by the admin team - all very disorganised, nobody could tell us who is our management company following the acquisition. In the meantime, we were charged ridiculous amount of fees for overdue charges that never reached us on time as Barratt was not able to tell us who manages our flat! Won't recommend BDW
