DSL Drummer - Daniel Lickard

Daniel is a fabulous drummer who can also engage, motivate and inspire students. He is truly passionate about what he does and is such a flexible, lovely guy to work with I can't recommend him highly enough. My son has made huge progress over his time with Daniel and looks forward to the lesson each week.

I’ve had drum lessons with Dan for a few years now and have absolutely loved them! He is always professional and friendly, and he excels at being patient and taking the time to explain and demo different concepts and techniques. However, most importantly for me, he is extremely flexible and can tailor each lesson to suit my health capabilities and my musical tastes. Additionally, Skype-based lessons have worked really well for us to ensure that my learning has continued throughout the recent lockdown. The fact that he offers home-based tuition has made drumming possible for me when I wouldn’t have been well enough to manage any travel. He is an expert and creative drummer who is clearly passionate about the instrument, but he’s also equally enthusiastic about teaching all things drums to others and with him there’s no such thing as a silly question!

Dan has been teaching my primary school aged son for a few years now. He is not only passionate about playing but also about sharing that passion with his students. He is patient and very good at tailoring the lessons to my sons needs. Dan engages with my son very well and is always open to questions or suggestions from him. Dan clearly loves what he does and truly wants his students to have that same experience, can't recommend him enough .

Dan has been a fantastic drum teacher for my son over the past 3 years. My son loves his lessons and looks forward to them every week. Dan is always very professional, friendly and reliable, and has amazing patience! His enthusiasm for drumming is clear. The lessons in our home and virtually have both worked extremely well with my son making good progress. I would highly recommend Dan as a drum teacher.

Dan is an extremely accomplished drummer and instructor. He has been teaching my son for several months now. His patience and diligence has helped my son to progress immensely, whilst keeping the lessons informative and fun - we notice improvements in his playing every week. His experience as a drummer and teacher ensures that he knows how to challenge his students without making it seem arduous - my son thoroughly enjoys every lesson, coming out of them feeling happy and confident. Dan is a really friendly and approachable guy, I would recommend him to anyone - regardless of their drumming ability.

Dan taught drums to my son for over 3 years. His teaching style is relaxed and fun, encouraging my son to always have fun with it" and explore a wider range of musical genres (which I will always be thankful for!)
