Took my friend Finlay to Broom House for a day out in the summer and we had such a great time. The forest adventure was full of different quizzes and games for us to enjoy and we could have stayed in there all day. Stopped off at the coffee shop before leaving as well, which was full of some great looking cakes and snacks - including some gluten free options for Fin. Overall a superb experience!

Lovely day out with my daughter and 3 grandchildren. The forest trail was fun for all with something different round every corner. We took a picnic this time but may be tempted by tasty food from the cafe next time. A special mention to the polite young man serving ice creams. We’ll be back.

We went for the charity lambing day and it was lovely. Staff happily answered any questions as they were lambing which was amazing to watch. The farm shop was s but had a wide variety of grocery and home items and we'll priced.

Phenomenal dayout. Myself and my daughter aged 6 visited last week for a picnic and an adventure. As it's a working farm you could see a lot of their animals including lots of piglets which was lovely, also goats and chickens. The cafe itself was clean and well priced with a good selection of food. Lots of seats and outdoor benches too (plus wasp traps which were full to burst).Hay bails you can play on, football goals and a small park. There is an adventure woodland, it is £5 each and completely worth the money. We spent over 5 hours in the woods their are two zip wires and ropes bridges, big slides and small slides - it is possibly the best outdoor play park in the area for children aged 5 -8? You could go to a secret watch camp and watch animals eat too.You also had tasks to find fairy doorsand animal footprints. All very good fun and highly recommend I can't wait to go back!

We go every week to Broomhouse Farm, both the shop and cafe. The staff are always helpful and very pleasant, the service is second to none, and the food is awesome. Highly recommend! Best farm shop/cafe in the North East in my opinion (and we've been to lots).

Great cafe with a good choice of quality meals and cakes as well as a free children's play area. You can also visit the farm animals and shop. Well worth a visit. Very popular in the summer.

Discrimination is discrimination. People with food allergies - not really welcome.Went here with 4 kids and 6 adults. The day started off great with beautiful rays of sunshine, then the rain came which couldn't be helped. After we went to the cafe to order some food. One of the kids, my nephew, (boy aged 2) has a severe food allergy, his parents tend to not risk feeding him food from just anywhere as they've had some severe reactions from different places in the past, (specially when one of the tea spoons with one of our coffees had ketchup smudges) so they bring food with them wherever they go ,which I'm sure any parent with kids with autism and allergies can understand, is stressful enough. In this instance my nephews' parents brought over sausage rolls that my nephew can eat to get rid of any the risk of any reactions. Let's just say that The staff and manager in the cafe were both rude and condescending to our situation. Please understand that it's not like we brought a picnic, it's a pack of sausage rolls for my nephew, and if the other kids wanted to try or have some of course they were open to.Everyone else had ordered meals and food throughout our visit, including the other 3 kids, it's not like we didn't.The staff were happy" for my nephew to eat away at another set of picnic tables - away from his family? He's 2. Oh yeah remember its also raining. Does my nephew having sausage rolls negate the rest of the family having food?Absolutely atrocious attitude towards a child with disability. No you will not "sweep it under the rug" - the fact that a child with allergy is eating food that he can eat. Just because "other places do it" doesn't make it right?Understandably

Nice farm day out with a great woodland adventure and some educational activities. If your wanting to go into the forest Adventure its £20 for 2 Adults and 2 Children family ticket or 5.50 each for over 2+. Dogs are welcome and no smoking on the site. Season ticket available also. The site also has some farm animals a maze small tractors and a park with small wooden fort food available onsite with a farm shop and restaurant.Food in the restaurant was not overpriced and of a good quality.Downside if you wanted to bring a picnic I think its a little out of the way from the actual main site which from a business point of view I can see why.Everyone enjoyed the day and it was worth paying the extra to enter the forest and do the activities which did take best part of the day. The forest has plenty enough to do for the price I think its responsible. Not forgetting Big Dave that pig be big!

Amazing sausages. We bought four packs, two pork and leek and two others. The sausages were really meaty with no fat and very filling. The shop was very busy when we visited on a rainy Saturday morning and would have benefited from an extra pair of hands behind the serving counter. There was only one lady serving and three butchers so the queue was quite long to get served. The farm shop seems very well stocked, parking is good and is certainly worth a visit if you are in the area.
