A brief stopover on a day out for a coffee. What a great place, friendly staff and nice coffee. Didn't get to see the museum next door as it was closed but would definitely consider me back again.

If you love the film Brief Encounter. Visit Carnforth Station where it was made. The station cafe is a replica of the film set and great for lunch. Also a great museum relating to the film with associated memorabilia.

A pleasant and interesting informative visit. The facility was well maintained and clean. Generally appeing to boomers, but there is stuff for youngsters. I found it really interesting.Whilst there we had lunch in the bistro. Excellent home made fayre served by friendly folk. Very reasonable prices too, with a good choice of meals.All in all a very enjoyable experience. Well worth a visit.

Very interesting railway and film exhibition centre. The cafe is restored to Brief Encounter style room that was featured in the film. Service was a little slow but this was because of a large order that someone was requesting. The prices on menu are basically the same as most mid range eateries. The exhibition staff are very friendly and helpful.

Lovely full English breakfast with friends. Nice coffees. Very busy so second cups of coffee took a long time. Not the end of the world.I read the reviews and I decided this was a place to visit.Well worth the visit.Had a nosey in the snug .

The best breakfast ever. So much fabulous food, and really good value for money. Love the atmosphere here and the staff are so friendly. I didnt try one, but the cakes looked amazing.

Popped in for light lunch. The lady that runs this place is really on top of her game. Very busy but she kept an eye on everything, staff and customers!.She is friendly and efficient, very impressed! Food is good & plenty of vegetarian option. Vegan options too There isn't a lot of good dining in Carnforth but this place is gem with excellent staff. Well done

I love it here, I love the quirkiness of everything, the food is fresh and tasty and homemade. There's so much to look at and it's like taking a step back in time...however, and I know it gets mega busy but there are times I've been and I can't get seated due to abandoned tables. A little trolley to pile it all on and take it away would be perfect but when I went yesterday I went it was all clean and tidy but I chose to sit outside as the weather was beautiful. The benches outside are filthy and sticky and black, everything needs a right good scrub down and so is everything else out there, it just looks grotty and my latte wasn't overly hot either, it won't put me off coming though but I'm not sitting outside again.
