I had the most fulfilling and complete L3 Forest School Leader Training and Outdoor and Pediatric 1st Aid Training. Dave is a person full of experience and with a straight to the point practical methodology. He welcomes and gives space for your questions and experience and just as in forest school methodology he takes the interest of the learners as opportunities to go through the course content. I feel more confident and capable of aid in an emergency and start my own project with Forest School.

I have been taking my toddler to Little Acorns stay and play every week for a year now and we love it there. My little has the best time exploring, learning to love nature, trying loads of new things and getting socialise with other children. The staff are amazing and there is no snack like a campfire cooked snack! I get a some fresh air, a bit of relief from the intensity of stay at home parenting and the chance to get to know a bunch of other parents (who are also lovely and welcoming). I'm not particularly an outdoorsy person and I love and look forward to these sessions. They're also great value for money, especially compared to a soft play session or day out. Come and see for yourself!

I really enjoyed the educational and fun course. We did a lot in the 7 day course. Everything we learned we performed in practice and we had plenty of opportunities to ask Dave questions. Dave has a lot of experience and knowledge about forests and makes clear links how to implement this in your classes. He enthused our little group and gave us knowledge to move forward with forest lessons we want to teach to our children.

We first started coming to forest school with my eldest 4 years ago and, 3 children later, this is still our favourite place to be! We attend Hollie’s stay and play on a Monday morning. Hollie is always so warm and welcoming and full of charisma and endless energy. She is incredibly child-led and there are so many activities to do, from hide and seek, story time, mudslides, mid kitchens, themed crafts, bug hunts, ropes, swings, hammocks to name just a few (!),there is something for everyone and 2 hours flies by! Through her well planned sessions, children (and their grown ups!) learn about nature, fires, using tools, and the natural environment it’s just such a lovely place to be. I really think it contributes massively to children’s development and is so good for both their physical and mental health. The sessions continue to grow in popularity and get booked up within minutes of the dates being released! There is also Forest babies with Kate now, another warm and welcoming member of the team and her site is perfect for babies and toddlers full of sensory and exploratory play ideas (and apparently there is often cake!). All of the team are incredibly friendly and helpful- Dave is often seen managing the woodland and running courses and always pops by to say hello, and Meryl organises the sessions and is quick to respond to any queries via email.I really can’t recommend Little Acorns Forest School enough. Come along and give it a go- you won’t be disappointed!

My son had a fantastic 7th birthday party at Little Acorns Forest School. Very well organised and a wonderful setting in the forest. What an amazing party it was for a group of 6-7 year old boys! Such fun! Den-building, forest games and crafts, mudslide, campfire hot dogs and s’mores. The forest school teachers were brilliant ensuring the party ran smoothly and everyone had lots of fun. All the parents commented at how good the party was being in the forest. Thank you! Highly recommended!!

My daughter and I had THE best time this morning! The place is amazing and the activities are exciting and varied; there’s something there for every child to enjoy! We especially enjoyed roasting the ‘shmallows’ on the fire. Added bonus for the great hospitality; offers of hot drinks in the chilly weather. We will definitely be going again. ☺️

We love the sessions at Little Acorns! The staff are wonderful and so caring towards parents and babies. All the activities and the environment is well planned allowing children to develop and learn new skills and, most importantly, have lots of fun!

We booked for our child’s 7th birthday party for 25 children! Steve and Shelley were fantastic party hosts. The area is well laid out for children to explore and there are so many opportunities for play (hammocks, golf ball runs, craft, dens). The party food was perfection - hot dogs were cooked on a fire and then finished off with s’mores. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Little Acorns for parties!

The training days in L3 forest school leader with Dave were a tremendous and mind-opening experience! The way Dave conveys his vast knowledge and experience is simply fantastic and makes the learning process fun and more natural. I come out more confident to do my own forest school activities.
