Oh how I loved my year at Oxford and Merton from 2012-2013. A unique place. The medieval library is stunning. Happy I survived drinking the last sip of the chalice in the chapel after >100 people did it before me. Oh how I love my genes. I also enjoyed the 750th anniversary Ball in 2014. Long live Merton and the UK, despite Brexit, and best wishes from the Netherlands.

Stumbled across this collage, a great little find. We were the only ones there which was nice after other packed sites. Only £3 which was also refreshing. The chapel is definitely worth a visit and interesting to see the courtyards.

Merton College was nearly as magical as the Christ Church. The entrance fee is only 3 pounds. And its not crowded. When we visited the college there were only two other couples."

Stayed a week there for a summer course. The vibe and surroundings are really the best, very calm, peaceful and beautiful. The food was also great!

Merton College
One of the oldest colleges in Oxford, can be visited for only 3£, usually between 10.00 and 17.00 (check their website for details).Three courtyards, a very nice chapel, a nice backyard garden, overall very quiet and tranquil.

Reception is run by snake 2 faced people who are nice to you until you turn your back. Talking nasty things about other people including own students. College was run by the guy i heard only bad things from beginning of working there. People in reception will stab you in the back like it happen to many people already. You have been warned.
