Wythburn Cottage - The Rowley Estates

A wonderful holiday from start to finish. Clear and helpful communication from the owners throughout and a lovely welcome hamper on our arrival. The pure lakes toiletries were also great. The cottage is in a lovely location, very quiet but close to the A66 for getting around the Lakes. A few more Wainwrights ticked off the list, we came home feeling very refreshed from our stay. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic time at Wythburn cottage celebrating a family birthday and exploring the Lake District. The welcome hamper was really lovely and even a birthday card was left for my daughter. Christine had certainly gone the extra mile.The whole experience from our first enquiry was brilliant. Christine was so helpful in answering any of our queries before we booked and the information we received in advance was helpful in our planning activities and booking restaurants before we arrived.The cottage itself was even better than we expected and with logs for the wood burner plentiful, cosy evenings were enjoyed.The dining room table converted into a pool table which we made use of one evening too.The cottage overall was well equipped and the beds very comfortable. Wi-Fi was v reliable.We would recommend this place and hope to return again ourselves.

What an absolute gem and in a lovely setting. From the moment you enter you can see the care and attention to detail that has been afforded to the cottage. You are met with a super hamper and thoughtful thank you card and the fridge is stocked with eggs, milk, cheese, there is bread, coffee, tea and all are locally sourced it would appear. If you are hikers like us, Helvellyn is a mere 25 min drive as are many other hikes. Carlisle is a 35 min drive on quiet, easy roads. It has everything you might need including a billiard table which was a surprise We also had a magical moment stood at our Juliet balcony watching a wedding take place in the main hall as the photographer worked his magic with the bridesmaids. Oh and the pub is a 25 min, 1 5 mile walk and well worth the visit. Perfect

We have enjoyed a delightful stay at Wythburn cottage and I highly recommend it should you be looking for a peaceful retreat in a beautiful part of the country.The cottage is beautifully decorated, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. There was a thoughtful basket of food left which included some of the tastiest jam I think I can remember.

The hosts have an amazing eye for detail. The property is beautifully decorated and furnished, and everything worked perfectly. Communications and instructions were top grade, and there was a lot if useful information about the local area. We appreciated the hamper. We would love to return.

We've arrived this afternoon. The cottage is fantastic! Big, luxurious rooms, lovely bathrooms, a huge kitchen and dining area, plus lovely garden. We're not going to want to go home!

We have stayed in many self catering cottages in the Lakes but keep returning to Rowley Estates, which includes Wythburn Cottage. Both the properties of theirs that we have stayed in are well presented, comfortable, clean, well equipped and located in beautiful surroundings. The 'welcome pack' is particularly generous. There is no doubt that we will stay in one of their properties again.

luxury well equipped cottage in beautiful scenery. we loved the gardens, as well as the bathrooms which were clean, well sized and had plenty of hot water. the kitchen was well equipped enough for us to have a professional chef in one night. I had been nervous of staying 'outside' the national park but the area was beautiful and the roads to key sights were quick. and the dog and gun in Skelton is a fabulous Michelin star pub down the road. the 2 dogs loved the local walks. thank you

We rented wythburn cottage for Christmas this year. With a large family we rented cazenovia and wythburn. They are next to one another so perfect for coming back and forward. Lovely house with 3 en-suite bedrooms. Kitchen dinning area downstairs snd a beautiful lounge on the top floor. Both houses were spotless and well equipped with everything you could need. Views of surrounding countryside lovely. Only a short walk to the lovely village of Greystokes were you can have drinks and food in the friendly pub. We have stayed in several of Rowley estates properties and have never been disappointed. We thoroughly recommend them as a company. Christine and her team are always on hand and do a top job.

Wythburn Cottage is a beautiful oasis in a small and quiet area just outside Blencowe. The cottage is furnished to a high standard with everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing break in a quiet and delightful surrounding. We will definitely be back at some point to rediscover this area just outside of the lakeland national park.
