It’s been a great experience returning to my bjj journey under Simon and Stuart. Very welcoming environment with high level bjj training.

GB Thurrock is not just a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu club, it’s a community. It’s a home away from home. It’s a place to learn, laugh, release endorphins and make lifelong memories and friendships.My sons and I have been training at GB Thurrock for close to 3years now. The teaching and ethical standards of the Coaches and Professors is without question. New starters are eased in with care and kids are well safeguarded. The discipline is admirable and one’s freedom to express themselves is without challenge.On the mats, you will meet individuals from all walks of life. Off the mats, friendships are formed with mutual respect for others. If you’re looking for a great place to start, you can’t go wrong. You will be in great hands under the guidance of Simon and Stuart.

Been going to Gracie Barra for about a month now and I absolutely love, the people are amazing, the trainers really know what they’re talking about and will help anyone if needed!My only regret is not starting it sooner! An honour to be apart of this gym

A great place to start your BJJ journey. My son & I (11 yr old) started over a year ago. My son's self confidence has developed further & Stuart (coach) also came to coach him at a competition he took part in. Approachable & knowledgeable coaches in Stuart & Simon who are ably assisted by other senior pros. A variety of morning & evening classes to choose from for a reasonable price.A great place for your child (& yourself) to develop confidence & get fitter.

Really enjoy training here. The coaches are great and all the people I’ve met have made it very enjoyable and welcoming. Originally joined to lose a bit of weight and get a little fitter, but now I’m hooked. Highly recommend!!!

Absolutely amazing club, wonderful people all around and genuine family-like atmosphere. My 4.5 years old son & I have been made very welcomed and we now both love training BJJ.Plenty of sessions to choose from: mornings, evenings, weekends, possibility to do 1to1 sessions and everyone is super helpful. I am at the very beginning of my BJJ journey but with incredible coaches like Stuart & Simon, sky is the limit.I am beyond happy I found this place and impact it had on me has been tremendous. I highly recommend everyone to give it a go, you will love it!

I have been going to Gracie Barra for some time now. It is honestly amazing ! Coach Simon + coach Stuart are so good at what they do , really supportive people , really friendly environment. Everyone is like one big family . Everyone helps each other out. From the beginning till now, my confidence has boosted so much and I would honestly recommend this gym to anyone who wants to get into BJJ. Come give it a go, you will not regret it!

Been training at the Gracie Barra Gym for just under 2 months, honestly it is more than a gym it is like a family, welcomed in with open arms by Stuart, Simon and Steve all teaching lessons throughout the week, everything taught is broken down into segments so you have a clear understanding of anything taught to you. If you feel anxious in yourself and your abilities this is the place to gain the confidence you will need in your BJJ journey.

Amazing club! Coaches are very experienced and able to support with whatever your BJJ goals (self-defence, competition, etc). Started September 2020 aged 40 (never too late) with my 7 year old son, and it's a great bonding activity. Everyone's really welcoming and happy to help you progress. Been there nearly two years now, trained with some great people, learned loads and had some great experiences. Would thoroughly recommend giving GB Thurrock a go!

Lovely atmosphere and nice group of people to surround yourself with. Great way to improve fitness and learn Bjj and top instructors.
