I first approached Jane last year, as the planting in our garden had over the years lost much of its original shape and design. There were a lot of gaps in the borders and I didn't know what to fill those with in order to bring back some sort of cohesion. I had a telephone chat with Jane in the first instance and then she came to see the garden. Jane was so friendly and approachable: she is obviously a plant expert herself but did not seem to mind my own lack of expertise at all. Her love of plants and planting design was plain to see. We talked together about what sort of final result I wanted and she made various suggestions. She kept all the existing plants, just moving some of them if necessary; she then sourced and planted all the new ones.The garden was transformed, back to its original glory, and we take such pleasure now in sitting in it and just enjoying all the plants.I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Jane Houghton Garden Design Studio.
