Attended for a wedding , lovely roast beef lunch. This community centre is a converted temperance Hall. There is a cosy reading room with arts and crafts upholstery and a hall for set dinner and stage. .....And a bar.

The Edgworth Folk weekend held in the Barlow institute was a big success. All artist appear without a fee and money raised goes towards keeping the Barlow Ins going. Lovely building providing lots of community activities. Smashing.

What a fantastic place to just chill out with a cup of tea or coffee, and there's also plenty of choices for something a little stronger. I didn't try the food on this occasion but the sandwiches and cakes looked very good and wholesome. The staff are always on hand to help and are very friendly. There are separate rooms for functions as well. They were still playing bowls outside, even though it was absolutely pouring down.If you walk around the back through some beautiful woodland, it eventually leads into jumbles country park. It's definitely worth a visit if you are ever in the area.

Lovely old fashioned church hall, plenty of space, toilets are clean and the Reading Room is a nice adjoining place to go for a cup of tea and slice of home made came. Or the lovely cheese and ham toasties. The red wine is freezing though! Ask them to warm it first.

I liked this playground before it was done up as it was a bit more earthy. It also had THE best swings with super long chains. It's a trade off because the new slides are brilliant - the kids love them. The new swings are nowhere near as long or good though. Although there is a pretty cool what we call 'spiderman swing' one of those circular net things on a hanger that swings in all directions. Kids seem to scream alot on it, so I assume that means it's pretty good haha. The play area also seems to have got alot busier since the revamp.Still, it's a nice playground with some good walks nearby.Handy to have The Barlow Institute on site as it has loos and a small cafe serving drinks and cake.

I had a lovely time at the Barlow in Edgworth last weekend. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. The Barlow is a great place to enjoy a pint of local ale, a hearty meal or a live music event. I especially liked the roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, and the sticky toffee pudding for dessert. The Barlow is a gem of a pub in the countryside and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice escape from the city or just for an easy afternoon or evening out.

I have used the Café a number of times now, and have found the coffees and cakes extremely good. The staff are really interested in making your visit as good as possible.

Lovely Cafe with a wide variety of food and drink, a really relaxed atmosphere would also be a good place to work from remotely.

Excellent cafe on route around various walks at the reservoirs. Friendly staff, good service, great coffee and fantastic cake and cookie selection.Apparently (told to me by others - I haven't been to any) the evening functions like folk night's and so on are very good and they are licensed with hand pumped beers as well as usual lagers.Recommended
