What a beautiful place to visit walks are great, even for the kids. I have 2 young children, and they love a walk through the woods here to visit the lochs. Our happy place.

7 Stanes, so ideal for bikers. It also has some great walks for all ages, it's set in a great location and has a cafe. If you love bikes or walking well worth a visit.

Nice, well spaced car park. It is pay and display. Most of the machines are cash only, but there is a card machine up at the visitor centre cafe.

Nice place with a good cafe. Staff were friendly and efficient. We had a snack and a drink which we enjoyed. Went for a walk to the bird hide which was interesting with plenty of feeders to attract the birds.

Stopped overnight on 17 9 23 in my campervan £7, enough room for 30 vans with good hard surfaces, you will need levelers. You can obtain fresh water, 24hr toilet and waste bins. There is also a bime shop on site with bike wash point.Great for walking and mountain biking with the 7 stains route passing through, also a kids play park. Nearest town Newton Stewart, has two garages, Aldi, Sainsbury's and other assorted shops.

As this carpark is participating in the stay the night scheme we decided to give it a go and we were not disappointed! Arrived mid-afternoon so paid for a 3hr ticket and an overnight ticket £11 in the visitor centre. Really well surfaced carpark, lots of space, great disabled spaces with paths round them, and a disabled toilet and drinking water taps available all night. We (me, hubby, miss 9 and miss 6) biked the blue when we got there and got muddied up but had a great time. Then had a beautiful, quiet, starry night in a fantastic location. 5 vans stayed the night. In the morning girls played on the lovely park, I ran round the yellow walking route then hubby did the red biking route. Girls and I walked the purple accessible short walking route looking in at the bird hide and an unexpected second part. Negatives: zip wire swing broken on second park and hubby said red route was less enjoyable than the blue as they seem to have made it red for red sake.

Rode here not too long back and I have to say it's a great , I did the whole of the 21 mile red/black route on a Saturday which takes you out into the wilderness, it felt very much like riding in BC Canada, i didn't see a single person until I got back to the carpark. Some of the features are quite challenging which is good and I'd definitely ride here again.
