Good selection of magazines, newspapers and stationary. Staff are friendly and helpful, good location for shoppers to pop in and have a look at the cards and books. At the counter you can buy lottery tickets and stamps.

Went in to find a magazine, found magazine I wanted. No one was on a till, had to use the self check out that was squished into the corner. Quite hard with a pushchair, boxes around the area on floor which made it worse.

Very poor treatment of customers. An employee refused to let me buy an item and lied about the age restriction on it because she didn't believe my LEGAL id. When talking to a supervisor, she told me it was my fault I didn't have my passport instead and they don't need to tell the customer at all why they're refusing sale. She also defended the employees lies. WHSmith you do not have a right to treat your customers like garbage especially when they've done nothing wrong. I definitely don't recommend here nor will I ever be buying anything here again.

£3.75 for a birthday card. Need I say more?Actually I will say more, self service checkout so you don't actually have staff service. Now I don't steal, but somehow I'd still feel ripped off if I stole from WHSmith...

Still has good quality stationary if a little more expensive . Good selection of magazines. Sadly the post office has moved in... what madness is that.... and sometimes there are queues for that. So you now have to visit the shopping Mall just to go to the post office.... further to walk, especially for older or disabled people and more expensive to park. Bonkers in my opinion.

Went in for a bit of wrapping paper upstairs with only 1 self-service checkout and no one on till. An older gentlemen was in front of me and was having issues with his contactless payment. A short haired woman came up and was straight away quite snarky with the man. Was not much help to him at all despite him asking for it. Utter useless. Then when she asked if she can clear the whole order from the self service he said yes please

Accessibility:Honestly I avoid going in as much as possible because the carpet is clearly very old and it's wonky. It's difficult to go through the store in my wheelchair because the carpet is always throwing me off to the side randomly so I almost hit shelves or other people. There's a reasonable amount of space between the shelves though and there is a lift which isn't very big and is a bit tight at the door because of displays, but is still usable. If not for the carpet I think it would be pretty good. The post office area has smooth wooden floors and low down counters with space underneath, but you do need to go through the carpeted area to get there.I've never had any issues with the staff in either WH Smiths or the post office.

Good selection of books, and others items. Display is a bit to much to many things being sold. So can be hard to find what you want. Self service tills and human tills available. There two floors. Sells games, and gifts as well. Service is normally quick.
