I took 2 palets of charcoal for my shop amazing staff amazing product

Unbelievably rude delivery driver. For the sake of the companies Bosses it happened at 12 midday today 29th November 2018 and the driver was a bald man. Refused to move his Lorry on the middle of a public road, got aggressive and hurled abuse a me when I asked him to move his lorry. He was delivering to the Turkish Restaurant Veyso in Collier Row, Romford.

I've had three large bags of Restaurant Grade Charcoal from BigK now and the quality, price and service is excellent. There is not much to say about charcoal, other than I can confirm having recently cooked a whole leg of lamb for three hours on our BBQ that is indeed the product it claims to be.Also, and very important in these times, their customer service is excellent as well. Due to the size of the items in question, they may distribute in multiple boxes. On my recent order, the first box was delivered, but not the second. I called BigK, immediately got a person to talk too, who was very polite and genuinely interested in resolving the issue and asked me to leave it with them. The next day, they sent me an email to tell me that they have located the issue with the courier and had resolved. And indeed, I got a text from the courier to say it would be delivered that same day, which it was. For me, this means I'm now more likely to use them again, there is real value in customer service like that when it goes wrong, which happens to the best of us from time to time.

Bought some seasoned logs of theirs from wickes today as I am having a delivery problem with my usual supplier. I can only say these logs are awful! They are covered in mould, presumably as a result of not being seasoned properly. Burning them in a wood stove is almost impossible as they are so wet. Luckily I had one log from my previous supply which was just about enough to get a fire going with some careful nurturing for a LONG time. Most of the timber appears to be poor quality birch which is perhaps why it is so wet. To call this seasoned wood is frankly a joke. I may as well try to set fire to a puddle.

Product aside. Customer service is excellent. I messed up my address in check-out and someone called to let me know the post code didn’t match the address and wanted to confirm before shipping.Edit. Just did my first cook using the Dura, was fantastic. Coals lasted 3+ hours. Best coal I’ve used and can see big k becoming my go to. Highly recommend.

We use this company all the time and their customer service is diabolical and quite frankly just rude. They double process orders then blame you for it. They advise you of cut off time, then when you call within that they state they have a 'stock audit' and so you have called within the the cut off but can't get it anyway because they are busy doing a stock take. They do not value their customers and even when you state you will look at other suppliers they have this incredible arrogance that they just don't care.

Struggled to find their product in any of the major Supermarkets this year, found out that that they deliver direct. Placed an order and it turned up 48 hours later.Best charcoal on the market.Customer Service and Delivery experience excellent all round. Will definitely use again.

Avoid!! I've used this place a couple of times now, and when everything is fine it really is good. However, when you get an issue do not expect Big K to take any responsibility, they choose to blame the manufacturer and I am now arguing a refund for a defective item 8 days later. The customer service is shocking, my advice, order elsewhere! Its worth paying the extra knowing somewhere else will have the customer service backing in the event of an issue, unlike Big K!
