Food was okay. Some interesting options with haggis, a veggie haggis burger, and haggis balls. The beer flight was good. I was able to put cider in my flight too. The bartender was really nice and helpful in letting me try lots of different things on tap before I settled on my flight.I liked the ambiance and vibe.

Very sympathetic pub. Off course dark brown. Very nice and kind service. They offer a lot of different beers. We were suggested to taste several beers (1/3 pints), which was a great idea. Also great with our beers was the burger they served. I had the bohemian (as that was how I felt at that moment).I recommend this pub for an easy, intimate and cozy experience.

This is nice pub in Edinburgh's old town.It has a dark decor featuring wood panelling. There's a good selection of craft beers and real ales. We were a bit puzzled at first as the bar didn't appear to have any fonts! Unusually they are on the wall behind the bar.The main food offered are gourmet burgers - my group had several different choices and were all happy with them.Table service is offered and the staff were all friendly.

Really lovely find, we walked in with no reservation but there was plenty of space. They are really dog friendly, our pooch was greeted with a little tray of gravy bones and a bowl of fresh water, which was a nice touch! The food was fresh, tasty and served quickly, we had the nachos and halloumi salad and couldn't fault either!

Visited with five pals in n a Tuesday night in December. The lasting impression I had was of the staff, and their friendly and super-attentive nature. Nothing was too much trouble, and they had that uncanny knack of remembering what everybody had to drink on the previous round! The burgers were also tasty and filling. We’ll certainly be back for more.

My friend and I just had a nice dinner here. As a vegetarian I am always interested in unique vegetarian dishes and the veggie haggis caught my eye. Now just to be clear, even if I ate meat I would not touch haggis but I wanted to try the veggie and it was quite good. I can't compare it to real haggis but this was basically a decent veggie-style burger dressed with some slightly spicy mayo and fried onions. Good but not amazing. Service was great - Elena greeted us nicely at the door and handled our orders. My friend had a margarita (yes I know it is weird to come to Scotland and order a margarita but he said it was very good and had another. He got two small plates - the moz and tom salad and nachos and it was all good. I would recommend this place. Nice atmosphere inside, not too loud.

We dined here a few days ago as we had previously met friends for drinks with our dog so knew they were dog friendly. The food was very quick to arrive, good portion sizes and the burgers were among the best I've had for a while. Definitely recommend the honeycomb sundae! The staff were lovely and friendly even offering water and gravy bones for our dog. We would definitely return!

This is a really good place to be if you're looking for a good variety of craft beers.I chose this place based on earlier reviews. But I was a bit disappointed. I've read all the great things about their burgers, but mine was dry, and the bun was also dry. Good fries, though!I won't come back here for a meal, but for drinks and atmosphere.
