Brownest chips I've ever had wiated 15 mins for a battered haggis not much batter ,slightly burnt and haggis still cool in the middle

Went to the fish add chip shop 3 times this week as it was cheap but really nice food, the staff members are very polite and it was all made fresh and was quick with my order. Will definitely be many more visits here

I don't normally bother with reviews but I've never had a meal so bad it's actually caused me to pull over on a main road and throw up next to my van, it was embarrassing. The fish and chips were burnt, uneatable, but because I was starving I forced half of it down, the rest was thrown

Shocking fish chips and some green lumpy stuff. Chips shocking and the fish look led.like it had been to slim world and it worked. Utter rubbish.

Such a hidden gem, the fish is always crispy batter and juicy thick white fillet inside, the chips are by far the best chippy chips around and the staff are second to none, cant wsit for my next cowling chippy fix

This fish & chip shop does not give good value for money, the product is second rate with the food being poor quality. The prices are beyond belief (£14 for fish and chips twce)I will not give a valued recommendation for Cowling chippy and I would advise any future customers to think twice before trying it.

The worse chips and curry sauce I have ever had. Chips not fresh looks like they were refried from previous batch soggy and limp easy to tell they were refried as there were far too many hard black ones. as for the curry sauce just tasted like curry flavoured water very thin if this is a representation of what one reviewer said good proper Yorkshire chips don’t know where and what they have been eating. Ended throwing them in the bin waste of money got a Chinese takeaway

Called in Saturday lunchtime as we were passing and had the munchies! Very friendly and quick service, fish n chips and a fish butty (they snuck some chips in too). Really enjoyed the fish butty, a good size fish and tasty, only let down by batter that was slightly slimy under the crisp outer....not sure why, because the fish however was bang on.
