Dive Northampton

After learning to dive abroad I needed somewhere closer to home to continue learning, and chose Dive Northampton for my Rescue Diver course. It was tough but I learnt so much and at the end really saw the value in the way the training was conducted. It definitely made me a better diver. The staff always have time to go through everything and provide any extra coaching as and when required. I stayed on to Go Pro" starting with the DiveMaster course

Couldn't fault the service or staff, my whole learning experience so far has been exciting, informative, and serious at times. (we are learning to stay alive in a worst case scenario after all)the instructors that have been with us in both the practical and the theory parts of the course have been easily approached and understanding of mistakes, given clear and precise instruction on how to comprehend charts and technical skill, while allowing adequate time to get to grips with the practical skills in the pool and lake. I can only thank the team for all the help and patients they have given me during my learning curve and look forward to diving with them in the future. I had a review on Thursday with Richard and Darren. I haven't dived for 8 years and have booked a few dives in the Caribean. Richard was really thorough both with the written review and the water skills in the pool. Many thanks to Richard and Darren, especially Darren who I did my best to drown at one stage. Having been traveling and coming across diver training where the diver buddied with myself had disappeared, I was looking for a school to move my diving forwards. I found that here are Dive Northampton the instructors are well informed with plenty of experience to reinforce what they are explaining.The Training that I have received has been fantastic taking my diving forwards to that of an instructor with Dive Northampton.I would recommend the dive team at Dive Northampton for the Quality of the training and the following support that they offer as divers and instructors.Way to go, Dive Northampton!!

Four years ago I was looking for a dive centre to continue my diving. Until this point I had only dived with the same 3 people and I was quite anxious about diving with different people, but I really wanted to do my rescue course and further my diving. I did a google search and found Dive Northampton. I called first and spoke to a guy who was really friendly and suggested I came into the shop to get a feel for what the club was like. A week later I went in and met Andy, I didn't just want a club that would placate me but also push me and be fun at the same time. I know I was looking for a lot, but I knew what I wanted. I felt comfortable enough to sign up for my rescue course. I started the course a few weeks later, there were 4 of us on the course and we had 2 instructors, Nigel and Stickers and several DMs during the course. Nigel and Stickers were very different in their approach but complimented each other really well and worked as a team, with their aim being to make sure I was a confident and competent rescue diver by the end of the course . I felt like the whole club got involved and I had a great time. I have since done my self reliant diver, RAID deco 40, Divemaster and I am now an instructor with Dive Northampton. I have been taught by all the senior instructors during my time at Dive Northampton and I can honestly say I would not still be part of this family if they weren't friendly, caring, fun and professional.

Andy is a really nice guy. We turned up today in need of air fills and although done for the day he went that extra mile so we didn’t go without.Great place !

I needed to replace a damaged second stage regulator. So I paid a visit to the shop. The display area was uncluttered, I was able to find the extras I was looking for. I came away with full set of regs,after a discussion about my diving needs.Thanks for the great service.

I have completed several course now with Dive Northampton, what an excellent team! Really safe environment staff are really thorough and knowledgable with total focus on safety. I will keep coming back for more!

Required a replacement Mares Ergo Inflator, pronto. Did a weekend order via the online shop only to find that orders didn't get processed until Tuesday. Put a note on my order to clarify it's urgency and I was more than pleased to find Northampton Dive had posted my crucial part by special delivery, it was in my hand Tuesday morning. Thankyou very much.

Sadly I was disappointed. Visited the dive shop to browse and to discuss joining the club and doing an AOWD course. Felt dismissed and put down as I had completed my OWD overseas (note - it was a 5 star PADI school I trained through). Made to feel ignorant for even considering an AOWD course. Even if that was the opinion of the person in the shop there are ways of communicating that to build up a customer's trust.
