Appalling after service.Bought a pair of curtains for a house move and it wasn’t until I moved that I found I’d been sold the wrong size.I bought them at the stone lane retail store as they were in the process of relocating to this branch and the whole place was in chaos, so it’s understandable there would be a mix up.Spoke to a guy in this store before returning the item for an exchange only to be told ‘he wouldn’t have said that’ by what I presume was a manager.Had a full blown interrogation about when I’d bought them, when I realised they were the wrong size & treated like a liar who had robbed them and was trying to obtain a refund.I don’t know whether to put it down to inexperience or ignorance, but being spoken to in such a defensive, sarcastic, and rude manner is not what I expected or appreciate.I’ve spent hundreds of pounds between the two sites and was treated like the scum of the earth by trying to exchange a pair of curtains that were given to me in the wrong size.People and service skills are non existent here.If you’re going to buy items I would do it online so you can avoid the interaction with them.A real shame that Sainsburys has this kind of ‘service’ tarnishing it’s reputation.

We find it really convenient having Argos in Sainsbury's stores so we don't have to make a special trip to one or have to cart items around town centres. This Sainsbury's has lots of level free parking right outside so you can pick up your Argos item, do some shopping and wheel it all back to your car. There are public toilets in this Sainsbury's too but sadly no cafe any more.

I wouldn’t recommend shopping in this Argos. Georgina the manager there offered no help to customers with issues with their products and talks over them with personal opinions rather than professional judgment. The other members of staff are pretty friendly though on the other hand.

I was Refused a refund and they didn’t follow their terms and conditions. Now taking to a small claims court !!I bought a chromebook the other day and it didn’t do what I wanted and was very different to a windows laptop, it was in perfect condition just the packet for the instructions manual I opened and the box obviously and I went to return the laptop 24 hours after buying it. I went in and spoke to a guy and said I’d like to make a return and he said what’s wrong with it and I said nothing just that it’s not what I’m looking for and he said sorry we can’t offer a refund as it’s been opened and with laptops they can’t be so I said oh ok and went home very annoyed and confused. I’ve literally just turned it on it for 20 minutes and charged it and then reset and put it back in the box. Everything is in perfect condition. I went home and found out I’m entitled to a refund. After reading that I decided to go back in there and spoke to a woman who asked what’s wrong with it. I said it’s not needed anymore. She said “sorry we can’t accept a return because it’s been opened”. I said “well how am I supposed to know what it’s like if I don’t open it up” and she said “there’s reviews on it that you can read before you buy”. “I said obviously I’m not just going to go by other peoples reviews and that it was a mistake”. she said “we can’t accept things that are not in a resalable condition” I said “yes you can because I’ve read the policy and it doesn’t say I can’t open the package”. I read out all the rules and she was opening it up and checking everything and I said “what are you doing you’ve already made your mind up about it and she said I’m checking to see if it’s damaged and I said even if it was you made your mind up anyway so what’s the point” I said so “if it was faulty I would get a better chance?” she said “we’d have to check it with asus and they would see what’s wrong with it”. I said “can I have the manager” and he came and did nothing but chip in now and again unprofessionally just agreed with her and didn’t even get involved at all. I said “can you package it up properly please” because she started turning it on when it didn’t need to even be touched. I said “why can you take one that is faulty but not one that is brand new” and she said “because we don’t know what you’ve installed or done to it” so they didn’t accept it no matter what I said despite the 30 day money back promise. They haven't honoured this. This is a misrepresentation of their sales policy and a breach of contract, I purchased with the backing and the security of the Argos sales policy, a policy which they have now not honoured. I told them this and they didn’t care. the 30 day return is worthless and invalid as argos do not honour it so in the end I said I have consumer rights and again just nothing from them so I told them I’ll take it to a small claims court which she said “ok you can go ahead and do that” and I walked awayDon’t buy from Argos they are rude and don’t know what they are doing, other people here have had the same experience with them, they’re a new store and the people who work there think they are all high and mighty and break they’re policy and law. I went back 3 times the last time was with my mum who knows the law and it was just the same old back and forth argument of how it’s not in a sellable condition but they never stated that opening the box voids it. The duty manager called Lee ended saying he will train his staff properly next time which doesn’t make a difference to me. So much more to say but can’t
