Tapi Carpets & Floors

Sales guy was friendly. The fitters were awful!! Rude, let plywood fall on our car even after we asked them to move it. Broke one of our new kitchen cupboards and took the legs off one of our kitchen worktops and placed heavy stuff on top. We asked them to move it as it cant support it when you take the legs off and they said no. Left nails sticking out that our 3 year old son cut himself on and never leveled the floor out like we were told they would. Our flooring is actually more uneven than before and creaks so loudly it sounds like the floor is going to break. When we rung to talk to someone about it and tell them the state the fitters left it in they said the fitters denied it all and basically called us liers. And that was the manager.We contacted the hove branch and they came out to look at it and agreed it was an awful job that was left unsafe and the flooring should never have been used on an uneven floor. Also agreed it hadn't been leveled like we were quoted for.Never ever use again!

I came here so excited to choose some carpets for my new house. The gentleman first of all shouts across the showroom, not exactly a way you should great two women or customers. He then proceeds to just be really unhelpful throughout the whole conversation, pushy in saying we should do our whole house at the same which I had already stated twice that is not what we want to do and he was like ‘right ok’ rudely. He told me he’s not allowed to provide samples, so when I asked how do you see if the carpets look nice in your home he said you can order online, is it not the whole point of a SHOW room so you can look? The whole vibe was just completely off from start to finish which is such a shame as that one individual is letting the Rustington store down. All the other staff I’ve ever met have been so lovely, but he was just rude and unhelpful.

Wouldn’t use again. Not a great experience from start to finish. Nails clearly visible and finish looks like a saggy nappy

Daryl and Katie from the Rustington Store were both professional and approachable. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were helpful in ensuring our new carpets were delivered and fitted with ease. Would highly recommend them! Thank you both and the whole Rustington Team. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Great sales (Clay) and brilliant fitters (Pete and Mick) but, in my experience, seriously lacking customer service inbetween. If you've got a straight-forward job go for it, but if you need some advice or a civil conversation in between sales and fitting, then I can't recommend.

Friendly, knowledgeable and approachable...what more can you want? All the members of staff were quick to greet me and allowed me to look around at my own leisure without hounding me for a sale.So many styles of flooring too chose from it certainly makes it hard to narrow it down to one.Will most definitely be returning to Rustington for any future orders!!

I’m amazed at how professional and great the service was. Me and my wife have recently purchased our first property, with Covid going on it was an unsure time getting everything into place. We first turned to carpet right and after the service and quote we got we turned to tapi carpets.It was one of our best moves whilst moving home. The showroom is extremely clean and modern. The staff here were so helpful and made us leave extremely happy with the service.We had to have our whole house done and we needed to split the dates to get around us doing other bits with the house which they fitted in for us.I’ve never left a review before in all honestly and working in sales my self I feel all the staff at tapis should be recognised for how they carry themselves in such a great manner, from the salesman, manager and the carpet fitterMany thanks.Charlie & holly hazeltine

Update: Almost 3 years on and the vinyl is still stuck solid and in perfect condition! Yaay!We were adamant that we did not want carpets on the stairs in our new house and wanted Azulejo/Moroccan Patterned tiles instead but were struggling to find anyone willing to fit tiles onto the wooden stair risers for us. We then came up with the idea of installing vinyl tiles ourselves on the risers as this would be the cheapest and most flexible option. The staff at Tapi Littlehampton were unsure whether this would work being stuck vertically instead of horizontally as they had never tried it before but were nonetheless very helpful and optimistic. We ordered a 3m x 1m roll (+-£70) of vinyl tile sheeting with felt backing and it arrived a week later. We cut it to size ourselves with a box cutter, which was very easy and quick and stuck them onto the stairs using the strongest Gorilla Adhesive-Wood (£20) we could find at Wickes. We then painted the treads with dark grey paint and treated them. 3 months later and they are stuck on solid on the stairs, it looks beautiful and cost less than £100 as opposed to way more if ceramic tiles were used! To anyone wanting to do the same-yes, vinyl tiles will definitely stick to a wood surface vertically! :)

Very pleased with our experience with Tapi at Rustington. Covid measures were excellent & staff were attentive without being pushy. Dan the sales assistant was very helpful, offering sound advise and working out sizes & prices for us. The order came in extremely quickly and we were phoned as soon as it arrived. Very impressed

From starting a conversation with Clay, to the first class fitting a few weeks, later can't fault the service from Tapi Carpets Rustington. Nice people to deal with, who do what they say they are going to do, when they say they are going do it. Unusual these days and very refreshing.
