Lava's Garage Ltd Stornoway

Booked an appointment for 11am to have my Clio to have its front wheels aligned.(Tracking). I arrived a little earlier but after a few minutes the mechanic came and asked me to drive into the garage. My Clio had its MOT only a few days before, but the journey from home to Stornoway convinced me that tracking was necessary. I had two new tyres fitted due to excessive wear on the outer tyre tread. Then proceeded to the garage for tracking. The mechanic was courteous and seemed very knowledgeable and efficient. I would have no problems recommending this garage for wheel alignment but I don't know about their servicing or vehicle repairs so I won't leave a feedback on the garage overall.

Superb customer service- they went the ‘extra mile’ for me!

They TOTALLY refused to go the extra mile. I had to walk up and down the hill 4 times in 2 days. It would literally have taken them 2 minutes to drive to my place. I timed it.It was my fault initially, as I forgot to leave the wheel key within the vehicle when I emptied it. I walked up the hill when I was able. It was a harder slog on my dodgy legs than expected and I was soaked on arrival.We can't be going up and down that hill all day!" the harridan informed me when I walked in and mentioned my disappointment at the decline to come get the key. She snarled back at me like this was her thing. I was not happy at all at that and I told her. She simply disappeared slamming the door behind her

So grateful to this garage! We were on holiday walking and sightseeing Lewis and Harris when a warning light came on - brake fluid very low. Not knowing if we had a leak (the car was bought new for this holiday) we couldn't carry on. They kindly fitted us in Monday morning, checked for leaks and changed the brake fluid. We were on our way 45 minutes later. Thank you so much.

Went in for an quick check. They did it immediately (just some rust removal), but they charged more than 50 pounds for 45 minutes of work. Tourist price, unfortunately.

Very professional organisation, my car was ready on time and everything was explained to me very carefully. Very reasonable prices. Recommended.

Tourist on holiday when the linkage on my wipers snapped. Was dreading a drive the length of Skye in heavy rain. These guys fixed and welded it within 30 minutes, charged me a nominal price and sent me happily on my way. Fantastic service.
