Amazing food & Service Today .I had the pork wow and my friend had hunters chicken followed by sticky toffee pudding and Eton mess.Highly recommend a visit .Thanks Kelly and her Team .lovely local high quality food .

Food was lovely but the service was shocking and for that reason I wouldn't return.A brand-new waitress was serving us, overseen by a more experienced staff member. Our large table split our bill and left, having enjoyed our food and had a great time.As we got into our car, a different waitress sprinted from the pub to our car and told us we had neglected to pay the full bill. I assured her we had, but was asked to accompany her back inside to clear up the discrepancy. I found this quite embarrassing in front of a pub garden full of people as it was obvious she was accusing us of doing a runner without paying properly.After going back inside, I checked the receipt again to discover they had reprinted it and added 3 cocktails to our bill, leaving £14.55 outstanding. I assured her we hadn't had any cocktails, and these weren't on the original bill which was brought to the table.After going back and forth with the waitress clearly not believing me, the original waitress came over and confirmed we didn't have any cocktails and the new waitress had mistakenly added another tables drinks to our own bill.As it turns out, we'd actually been overcharged by nearly £6, which I didn't get back.I understand mistakes happen but to be chased outside the pub and repeatedly accused of lying about our bill, it's left a really bad taste in my mouth and I won't return, which is a shame as the food was nice.

Gluten free fish and chips, very deliciousVery friendly, well run pub. Very popular with the locals so they must be doing something right! Big outdoor space so you can soak up the rays or keep an eye on your bike if you're cycling the 179

Very friendly local pub , the bacon & brie with cranberry baguette was yummy , great place to have lunch when on a walk , the staff were very kind and helpful .

Sunday roast beef here is awesome. The meat was tender, lovely yorkshire's and veg and the extra side of creamy cauliflower cheese was spot on. Friendly, efficient service and a nice relaxing proper country pub with real ales and all at a very reasonable price. What's not to like. Our second visit to the Red Dog and we'll definitely be back again.

Ordered 4 takeaway Sunday lunches. Wow they were outstanding. Fantastic quality meat, plenty of veg, potatoes were to die for and as for the gravy that was absolutely delicious.Very well presented takeaway. Would certainly recommend it and I'll certainly be going back for more.
