Superb Fringe venue, Cabaret Bar is the best Pleasance venue but there are many other good ones and extensive bars.

Pleasance Cabaret Bar
Edinburgh University Students Association own and run this bar. So the drinks prices are the same as at Teviot and Potterow. The advantage is there is outdoor tables for a sunny day/ smokers.Sometimes sport is shown here and they have a beer and burger deal for a fiver. Food is typical pub food and I recommend the nachos.

One of the great Fringe venues that has played host to so many amazing shows include Frank Skinner's Perrier Award Winning show in 1991 (hence the photo on the wall).

Expect to wait anything up to an hour after ordering your food before you get it. Service is totally chaotic. Cutlery was dirty.

Pleasance Cabaret Bar
Wednesday nights is Edinburgh Folk Club night, and for that alone I adore the Pleasance Cabaret Bar. It's like a hidden gem in the city--folk performances mainly from Scotland and England but also acts from abroad. Fiddles, whistles, harps, pipes, guitars, and voices all come together in the most beautiful way and with lovely staff. Not only that, but with a few pint and dram choices, you can really relax here!
