Shimmi Shake

My daughter has been going to Shimmi Shake for nearly two years now and I’m so happy with her progress and her confidence. The teachers are professional and very warm. I’m happy to leave her at the class knowing she is in safe hands.

Our daughter has been attending dance classes at Shimmi Shake for a few months. She tends to be very nervous in new situations but is showing a confidence that is so far from the little girl she was. Having watching a couple of classes we really love the disciplined instructions and behavioural expectations, such good preparation for school in September. Sadly life seems to lack the old school expectations in so many other areas. It’s really refreshing to see that it does still exist in the world of dance. So it’s a big thumbs up from us. Shimmi Shake came highly recommended and hasn’t disappointed thanks to the wonderful team of kind, committed and talented teachers.

My son has been going to Shimmi Shake for the past four years and loves it! The teachers are friendly, encouraging and design lots of new and fresh dance routines for the children to learn in easy to follow ways. Cannot recommend highly enough :)

Shimmi Shake is an absolutely amazing dance school. The high level of professionalism does not get in the way of the fun had and no one leaves without a smile, a giggle and progress made. The students’ examination grades are testament to the fabulous teaching and leadership, and the stage shows are breathtaking. It speaks volumes too that teachers past and present started as students at the school. Looking forward to ‘all of this’ to be over and face to face lessons to restart in the studio for the students. The kids love it so much!!!

My daughter’s, 12 and 15 years old have been attending Shimmi Shake since they were both 3, they absolutely love it. Not only have the gained excellent dance qualifications, they feel part of a family and have made lifelong friends. Sue and her team very successfully balance being professional, yet friendly and caring, and my daughters always look forward to their classes. An absolutely superb dance school.

We went to Mrs. Susan's ballet and dancing classes in summer 2023. Our daughter, at that time was between 1 1/2 and 2 years old. She loved the classes and we didn't miss one of them.Mrs. Susan is a great dancing teacher. She combines elements of classic ballet with street dance and musical dances. This keeps the kids' attention at all times. Mrs. Susan also includes some stretching and warming up exercises, which our daughter enjoyed as well. Something we appreciated about the way Mrs. Susan taught was a very healthy portion of seriousness as you will find it in ballet. We found that extremely valuable and healthy for our daughter. This doesn't mean at all that the classes were lacking fun and laughter. Kids simply loved it. We will continue the classes once they start again. If we had to rate the classes it would be a 10 out of 10! As a side note, Mrs. Susan's mother was always at all classes and supported during dancing exercises for instance by giving high 5s to the kids.Thanks!Vera and Oliver Matovu

This is the most fabulous dance school ❤️ with the most wonderful teachers. My children love every minute at Shimmi Shake and have so much fun. I would highly recommended them to anyone thinking of introducing their children to tap/ballet/street dance etc!

I couldn’t recommend Shimmi Shake enough, it is such a wonderful Dance School. Our family has been a part of Shimmi for the past 20+ years and has played a huge part in our life. Everything is fantastic, from the shows to the exams, teachers and students.I would highly recommend joining at any age from 3+.
