Rude and inept. I can’t recommend.We hired CW Paving to replace our garden fence and lay a new driveway. We took their advice at every step as they are, so we thought, the experts.The fence has been fine. No complaints there.I wish I could say the same for the driveway.While the brick weave they laid has been fine, the single wall they recommended had problems from day one. Bricks came loose within days, and CW Paving had to keep coming back to fix them. But, within days, more bricks would come loose.We had a particularly cold and snowy winter and, shortly thereafter, the entire corner began to come apart. CW Paving said they would take a look, but didn’t. When we asked another bricklayer we know to take a look, he said an inferior cement had been used, so the snow that had settled against the wall had weakened it.When Darren from CW Paving finally arrived to look at the damage, I told him what the bricklayer had said. He immediately accused me of piling snow against the wall. I corrected him, saying that I had done nothing of the sort, but that the thick snow had settled against it. I hadn’t moved it one way or the other.CW Paving rebuilt the corner.A few months later, an older gentleman tripped, grabbed at our recycling bin, and both fell into the wall, which partly collapsed. The poor guy was thankfully only bumped and bruised, but he was so apologetic.Darren was less sympathetic. He looked at the damage, made some strange accusations about us smashing our wheelie bins against the wall, and left.We chased them for months, but nothing. I wrote a negative review. A few months later, my wife did the same.In the months that followed, the wall almost entirely fell down. We could lift bricks off with no effort at all. The thing was a hazard, and I worried daily that our children would be injured by it.Then CW Paving called my wife. Darren was unspeakably rude to her, calling her an idiot, talking down to her, and so on. I offered to take the call.I’ve never had a phone call like it. Darren was unapologetically rude about my wife and repeated bizarre and unfounded accusations, such as sweeping snow against the wall. He claimed the review was unfair, as he’d been waiting for the weather to improve. I pointed out that it had been over a year since we’d contacted him. Surely we’d had some decent weather in the last 12 months?He also added a new lie to his repertoire: that I’d had COVID when he last visited and coughed on him. I pointed out that I had done no such thing. It just isn’t true. I’d had COVID months before his visit, and I didn’t leave the house the entire time. But he kept repeating the lie.He did, at least, agree to call me back in a couple of days with a provisional date for a bricklayer to visit.Three weeks later, we finally heard from Danielle, who advised that someone would be coming shortly.CW Paving did come and repair the wall. As they did so, they told us we shouldn’t have a single wall. That rain, wind, snow, even kids sitting on them, always make such walls fall down.If single walls do this, why build them? And why did they recommend one?A few days after the work was completed, my wife received a call from Danielle asking us to take down our reviews since they were “damaging their business”.My wife pointed out that the reviews were an accurate representation of the poor service received. I am updating the reviews in the name of accuracy.Sadly, we’ve already seen the cement between some of the bottom bricks of our wall is flaking. We’ve no doubt this wall will come down again. But after dealing with CW Paving’s rudeness, bullying tactics, lying and excuses, we have no interest in dealing with them ever again.The fence and the brick weave have been fine. But the wall and the service are unsound and maybe even unsafe. I would encourage you to use a different company on that basis alone.

I cannot rate this Company highly enough. I have just had a new patio designed and laid by them and ‘WOW’ I cannot tell you how impressed I am. From start to finish this Company were totally professional in every aspect of the job. My garden has been completely transformed. Thank you so much guys.

Having CW Paving install our new driveway was such a great decision. Its an absolute pleasure to pull up outside our house and see what an impact their workmanship has created.
