It was our first experience of selling a house and they navigated us through the journey, explaining each step and keeping in constant contact throughout the process to update us on progress. Their incompetence could cost you thousands...It started off well. I did a viewing and decided to make an offer. We negotiated and the offer was accepted.I made it clear from the outset that I wanted to use the property for a specific purpose, which they said should be fine, but I asked multiple times for them to check to be 100% certain. They said all should be ok.I instructed my solicitor and we started work to move towards exchange and completion.It was at this stage that the problems started. First, it took months to get documents that I requested. Not necessarily their fault, as it was down to the seller. However, I did get a call from the area manager who was clearly trying to push me through without getting the documentation which I thought was strange and a little unprofessional.Then the big one.
