Simmy Glasson Waterside & Marina

One of the most beautiful and tranquil places I have ever visited. If it were nearer I'd visit everyday whatever the weather.

I enjoyed spending sone time in this place it was very nice and people so friendly. Its beautiful place and always worth for visiting and there is nice cafe near.

Not too busy so plenty of parking spaces, parking app not accepting payment but did find a pay machine (card only) that worked for me, another bloke tried 3 cards that would not work in machine or app so I paid on my card. Nice spot will be returning.

Had a lovely walk from glasson docks along the river lune to condor green, then down to ' the white swan' and walked back along the canal. Called at ' the lantern o'er the lune cafe for a light lunch which turned out to be a delicious huge mixed salad with baked potato. Excellent value. Lucky enough to see the swing bridge and locks in action.

Very relaxing place to have a walk to, loads of water birds and wild life to see, really nice place to visit.

Had a lovely day went for breakfast at dockside cafe. Lovely breakfast, then a nice walk along the canal with the dog. Everyone so friendly. Will definitely visit againWould have stayed overnight in the campervan but no football on in the pub

A marina run, and admired, by a bunch of incompetent, arrogant, rude, obnoxious bullies. Over 50% of the electrical stations don't work. Water stations were down for weeks on end over the winter. Poorly stocked chandlery (Been waiting 3 months for basic M4 nuts to arrive). They never fail to find enough time to berate their paying guests on an almost daily basis by harassing them via email though. They put an enormous crack/hole in my Hull when moving my boat onto the hard by not supporting the underneath properly. I didn't kick up a fuss. I simply requested they repair the damage. I've done nothing but be civil and spend money there and I'm leaving feeling very uncomfortable and unwelcome. The surrounding area is lovely though which makes it a shame. I believe there's another marina further up the coast, west of the lake district, that has a much better reputation which I'll be exploring in future. Avoid.

Lovely circular walk from the dock 10 miles. Along old railway line and Lancaster canal.
