I absolutely love this place. Mark, Julie and all the staff are amazing. They go above and beyond with everything they do. The pints are very reasonably priced and the atmosphere is great.

Traveled from the North of Scotland to attend Grandson's wedding at Darlington Registry Office followed by reception in the upstairs function room at the New Banktop. Wonderful day was enjoyed particularly the buffet and atmosphere within the New Banktop. Bar staff were friendly and efficient in attending to a good amount of customers. Highly recommend this establishment.

Friendly staff. Well kept beer. The magnet is as good as any I have had anywhere else. Not too expensive. Plenty of good wholesome entertainment, usually a singer on a Saturday together with a game of bingo. Pool tournament on a Thursday is popular. Good appreciative clientele well worth a visit if you're up that end of town.

Went to a private party upstairs ,it was a great night ,good food ,great drinks and good music ,had a Saturday night in there too ,that was a great night as well .
