Alex was our host of the evening and he was absolutely fabulous! I would 100% recommend the cocktails and the service.... I have previously ordered a long island tea elsewhere, however, the cocktails at the Privy were exceptional and I would definitely go back there!

Went with my girls and had such a great time with cocktails to die for! They were such high quality and the Smoked Mexican came out in a really cool/funky dome filled with smoke inside it. Waitress was really helpful recommending cocktails and the bartender made it to perfection. Definitely will be returning another night!

I can confirm that all negative reviews about this establishment is more accurate than any other review you’ll read. The woman, Angela Long who is in charge is a horrible, racist woman. She only manages to run this business by taking advantage of her staff and those hired to help her. She does NOT pay her staff. Save your money. So many BETTER bars/ pubs in Canterbury. AVOID Privy Bar and The Loft AT ALL COST. Go to Cosy Club or something for classy cocktails and happy/ efficient customer service. She doesn’t deserve your money. Her customer service is beyond low. The whole business is built on a scam and smells.

Sitting here after 15 minutes waiting for any of our drinks to arrive.Mine was a beer. It's not even busy.Update - £5.25 for a small can of beer!!Central London prices in a toilet in Canterbury.

Lovely place! went with my boyfriend and we had such a good time! lively music, stunning artwork (one looked like madonna!) and the drinks were insanely good! you have to come by here!!

Do not go here. A friend of mine worked here and was ordered to use mouldy purée to make drinks by the owner, and was told “you don’t know good business” when they were going to throw mouldy fruit away. If you do go, leave cash tips because it is highly unlikely the staff will get paid the 10% service charge. Owner is abusive, racist, homophobic, and completely unreasonable.
