The place was absolutely stunning, I absolutely loved my time here and would love to come back over and over again. Beautiful nature, lovely maintained property, great hiking paths all around. Can't wait to come back.

Absolutely amazing place to stay! The location is beautiful and so peaceful! Can’t wait to come back hopefully in the winter for another night with my husband.Everything was top notch! Especially the service, The lady’s name behind reception was called Josie Fitzgerald and I am so glad that she was the young woman in charge in making our welcome and booking in very easy and greeted with a smile. (More than a smile) she was incredibly kind and helpful, nothing was too much bother for her, she really is an asset to the business and made slebech park estate blow the rest of the places we stay out of the window. We will be returning and I hope to see Josie there to greet us again as her smile is radiant and warm. Beautiful bedrooms, garden area, nature walk and stream, food and of course service! Would give this place a higher than a five if I could.ThankyouChelsea Smith & Joshua Smith

Lovely break with the wife. Do quiet and serene. Rooms were lovely and warm. Huge bubble bath. Windows with seating to look out and view the wildlife. Free movies! We had a hot cooked breakfast in bed was extra but we'll worth it. Delicious. Will return

No signs anywhere for the hotel, arrived at night and couldn't find it. Staff told me the postcode doesn't work in satnav, there were no lights and no signs and it's in the middle of nowhere. All I found was a derelict castle. I called them for help and they didn't help. I gave up and stayed somewhere else for the night. The worst experience I have ever had in years of travelling. They are also refusing to refund me saying it's not their fault I didn't listen to their directions. Rude doesn't touch it. I actually don't think this place is even a functioning hotel.

Very bad experience. Paid for the cooked breakfast but venue said continental breakfast only and receptionist said it was an expedia issue and that they had not charged expedia the whole money we paid them. So we have to sort the overpayment with expedia. Not clean - cobwebs with dead insects everywhere. Reception looked a temporary set up. Literally hundreds of mosquitoes in the room but receptionist said she ‘wasn’t responsible for the wildlife’. Only 9 guests but put myself and daughter at opposite sides of the building. Location looks lovely but building run down and unkept and unhelpful staff. We were told it’s not a hotel but ‘restaurant and rooms’. Eventually they offered us a full refund and said we could try to find another place to stay at 8.30pm So that’s what we did and stayed in a travel lodge at considerably better price - basic but clean and safe. I would absolutely recommend you do not use this venue. Dreadful experience.

We had a wonderful weekend, and the staff were all so lovely. We had dinner in the restaurant on Saturday evening, I had belly pork & my husband had steak. It was cooked to perfection. We had breakfast both mornings again, just cooked how we wanted, & we had continental as well.We would definitely recommend this hotel, it is quiet, it has amazing grounds you can walk around, it is ideal for a couples retreat or with children & dogs.

So location is great, very relaxing, no question about it and that's the only good thing about this hotel probably. Restaurant that they call 5 star bla bla, is just rubbish, few selections of food and looks like only one person is working there. We booked breakfast included option and they still charged us for the hot breakfast which was below average. They said only contitental breakfast included into the price which was rubbish again, just few selections. Our room had unique design which was nice but spider nets inside ruined everything. Be careful with their wifi, which is not safe apparantly, we couldn't connect at all due to safety warnings. Anyway, we really loved the place but unfortunately it is not 5 star place, so owners should think about improving their service also, other than earning money.

Stayed here this month as part of a birthday gift with my partner, and would return in a heartbeat! Staff were an absolute credit to them and couldn't be nicer or more helpful. The location was to die for, very secluded quiet, as situated at the end of a mile and a half long private road and through a few country lanes to get to. There are lots of places to walk very nearby. There's a restaurant on site, so there's no need to ever leave on your stay, which was lovely. We had room service to our room at a time selected by us, which was the best I've ever had and would highly recommend. We upgraded our breakfast in the morning, which was also amazing. Also, it was a lovely wedding venue as a night away in the countryside. Would definitely return!

Nice place, stunning grounds and great cooked breakfast. However, overly priced, place difficult to find in the dark as no lighting, poor WiFi and phone signals and lack of and persistent argumentative staff. We had some confusion over extra beds in the room as though they were requested at booking, they shouldn't have been needed due to the what had been booked for the numbers, the beds didn't get used as they were a health and safety hazard anyway, too flimsy, Rebecca(operations manager) was adamant we pay for them regardless! Quite a cheap attitude and no courtesy whatsover which came across very rude. Very unhappy about this and will not be staying here again :(

A fantastic hotel hidden away amongst beautiful and undisturbed surroundings.I have stayed here twice now, almost exactly a year apart, and it has been excellent both times. As you enter the grounds, you may think you've taken a wrong turn - the track to the hotel from the old gatehouse is very long. Keep going past the little houses and barns, watch out for the pheasants on the road, and eventually the hotel reveals itself. The estate itself has an interesting history and is home to the ruins of a 12th century church which you can explore. Many of the previous family of the estate are buried nearby overlooking the estuary. There are also a number of footpaths including a very leisurely walk through the forest which is mostly flat and easy to follow. Visiting now in the autumn months is particularly nice, with the trees turning shades of gold and red and with the leaves tumbling down in the wind. The rooms have their own style but are all up-to-date in terms of beds, toilet and shower. The Eashing rooms I stayed in both times were on the top floor and had exposed beams - watch out for the low beam if you stay in Eashing 2!The restaurant was fantastic. On the first night, it was just the two of us in there plus another table, but the quality of the food was still excellent. The menu is fairly small but it is contemporary and it seems to be regularly updated to keep things fresh. The restaurant is not open every night though, so be sure to check. The continental breakfast was the usual you might expect in most hotels, but it was plentiful enough to energise us for the day.The staff were helpful and showed us to our room. On the second night they called our room to check if we would like a place at the restaurant tonight, which was a thoughtful touch. The only bad thing I can say is there was someone on the first night with a very yappy dog in one of the rooms but that is not the hotel's fault! It was wonderfully quiet for all the rest of the time, with not a busy road in sight or in hearing. We will be returning to this peaceful hotel in its stunning surroundings soon. Thank you to all the staff who made this visit a great one.
