I was concerned due to some of the negative reviews however, really happy with the whole process. Rented a large van to move house and collection and drop off was so smooth and the van was just what we needed! Would 100% recommend!

The correct type of vehicle (but not very clean inside) was delivered on time to the right location.However, the car was not roadworthy as the windscreen wipers did not work (known fault apparently) and it was raining. No replacement available for 48 hours, so I was stranded and had to make other arrangements. Very poor.

I just want to write a quick review following my recent 11 day car hire. This is the third time I have hired a car from Europcar in Hartshill; Chad, Rachel and the team have been excellent. The car was great (Hyundai Ceed) the staff were most helpful on arrival and Rachel kindly gave me a lift back to the railway station as I left to head back overseas. Outstanding service, great prices and I look forward to seeing you again next year.Thanks againRoger

I booked a rental car online for a month with basic cover which is at no extra cost. When I arrived to pick the car up the person behind the desk said I hadn't got any cover on the car and said I needed to pay for additional cover at a daily rate to be able to still rent the car.I then agreed as otherwise I wouldn't have had a car having to pay for something that I didn't want or need. Now the company refuses to refund me the money back.Do not use this company, its disgusting how I have been treated and Enterprise who I have used since have been delightful and I have had no such problems with. Would highly recommend using them instead.

Absolutely not a good place to get a prestige or any normal car they gave me a 2018 E class mercedes which had brakes which weren't functioning properly there was no emergency brake the brakes were also sqeeking the car inside mirror housing and heater was falling apart the ciggarete lighter was not working and it wasn't up to standard when it comes to being clean.i was disappointed being a Law Student and travelling to my university and as a regular customer with europcar i made a complaint to head office which they replied via email saying to me that they have contacted this stoke on trent branch and the the branch are denying anything wrong with the car. It's a good job I took pictures so i replied back 5 days ago asking for a full day refund or a full day hire car for the inconvenience but still have had no reply....?????Would not recommend anyone renting/hiring any vehicle from this branch.

Very disappointed with the car that we hired. The second day we had it, there was an engine fault. Managed to get the car to restart. Didn’t use the car for two days. Drove the car for half an hour, then the engine fault came up again.So we used the contact number for help, that went through to RAC at 1:30pm. We were told they couldn’t get to us until 5pm.We managed to reset the car again to get back to our hotel. We rang again to let them know where we were, but that we still needed them to come out because of the engine fault.Finally came out the NEXT DAY. It took 22 hours for them to come out to fix the car. Managed to get the car started so we could drop the car back off at Stoke.Was very disappointing that we paid over $900 AUD to hire a car that we couldn’t rely on, that we were too scared to use. When we took the car back to Europcar, told them what had happened, they couldn’t have cared less. Will never get a car from them ever again.

Do not buy and pay in full on the website a van !! I repeat DO NOT HIRE A VAN from here we paid for in full on the website with plenty of availability on a van and other vans to be told sorry you can not have a van now!They are all booked out even though I paid in full!! I won't get my money back to the following week, but happy to take all my money!I called main office they just kept putting the phone down and said sorry cannot help!!!!!!!Absolutely awful robbing company!!!!!!!!!!

Had a 24 hour rental of a van to take a few bulky items to the recycling centre. Had a collection and delivery ordered for convenience which obviously costs extra. However they have now abandoned the van at my home address for four days so far without contacting me to let me know when they will collect the vehicle,the branch is uncontactable and won’t even answer calls from their own head office!! Customer services have just shrugged their shoulders saying there is nothing they can do!! Absolutely the worst hire car experience I’ve ever had and won’t be using again and recommend anyone stay away from these cowboys!!

Rented a Merc Sprinter and upon return I filled the van back up.( 1 mile away from the drop off point) I later then received a statement of return also confirming tank full and no damage to the van. Great I thought after reading all the reviews. I then received an invoice 2 days later stating refuelling surcharge of 18.00 plus charger 1.83 ex vat per litre. Apparently 8 litres was put in??? It seems the staff maybe pinching fuel and adding this onto to customers invoices as there is no way on earth 8 litres was used travelling 1 mile… if that!! Nothing but a scam. A formal complaint has been raised and I await their response.
