Sanderson Vet - Independent 24/7 Veterinary Care

I’m genuinely sorry to be writing this but as no one will respond to my complaint, I feel this may the only way to help current or future patients.The vet team are excellent, I can’t fault them but it all falls down as soon as it gets to the admin side of things.We’ve been with Sandersons for over a year with my 5 dogs, one of which has regular monthly meds and every month without fail, something has gone wrong with medication and the communication is just awful.Recent example: I decided to finally move vets so called and emailed to ask them to send all history over to new vets. In the mean time, I needed to order 1 month of tablets for my dog to see him through until the new vets received the history. I received a call apologising that they only had 1 months supply of one of the tablets (we usually attempt to order 3 months) to which I replied we had only order 1 month. My husband then went to collect the items the following day to be told they had given us 5 months of the tablet and were then surprised when he said he only wanted a month (we’ve never once managed to get 3 months by the way, usually a month, 2 months, 2 and a bit months, basically anything BUT 3 months). The next day I get a phone call asking if I just wanted the one dogs details going over to the new vet (which they had now finally done having held his details hostage until we cleared the whopping £26 on the account which no one had told us about as it’s done through insurance) or all of them? I politely said all 5, as per my email and numerous phone calls. I can only assume they don’t read emails and don’t speak to each other. It’s really a huge shame as the clinical side of things are really great. If they could only sort out the admin and customer service side of things, this would be an awesome practice.

I've had the best experience with this vets, I have had two animals needing appointments. After a horrible experience with my previous vet I moved to Sanderson. They have been absolutely amazing. Got my dog into surgery next day. Every team member I had the pleasure to meet was amazing, super welcoming and friendly. Thank you Sanderson vets. You have all been brilliant.

We joined this vets after we rescued our Cat in the final hours before lock down with the Covid pandemic. It was our first visit back last week with an infected cat bit, and we saw Chloé who was very attentive and welcoming. I must say, the blankets supplies to cover the cat carrier worked a treat. Calmed him right down.After having an antibiotic injection, a supply of 5 days worth of liquid pain killer and a buster collar on him we had to keep inside for a week.A week later, today, we returned for an assessment and to be signed off hopefully.Mr Richard Sanderson saw Casper signing him off but pointed out he has plaque on his back teeth. We purchased a tube of pet toothpaste (our cat is very tolerant) and Richard answered all questions we had without feeling rushed. Richard clearly cares for the animals in his care and is passionate about his work which clearly shows. Happy pet = happy owners. Highly recommend this vets and vet for peace of mind.

I found a cat in the road and rushed them straight to this vets. They were brilliant. Friendly, caring and they did all that they could for the cat. If I ever have a pet I will be bringing them here.Thank you to the brilliant staff that work there, especially the two wonderful ladies working in the very early hours of the 7th of September.

Very down to earth! Helpful! My cat has an EU passport. All the vets in the Wirral refused to record the vaccination on the European passport. Thanks to Sanderson vet we were able to travel.Many thanks!!!

The Vets here went absolutely above and beyond in the care of my Bearded Dragon, and I absolutely can not thank them enough.All the staff are lovely, their prices are very reasonable in what is increasingly becoming a ridiculously expensive time to be alive, and it just feels like nothing is too much for them.Sanderson will be the first call I will ever make in the future whenever I have a problem with any of my animals.

My Poochon had an emergency c section. The amazing team looked after her and her puppies.Just one negative. The receptionist who answered my initial call was not compassionate towards my worries. Her priority was costing! I think training on Telephone manner would be appropriate.Well done to the rest of the team. My poochon and her puppies are doing well
