Despite older reviews I have read-our visit was pleasant with fresh surroundings bright and airy plenty of windows - yes I did observe one bench seat had torn fabric the fitted carpet was in good condition the walls had fresh paint. Tables were available and freshly cleaned by a very polite industrious table server. Food and drinks must be ordered at the bar or through their smartphone app. Service at the bar when we’re there 12.45hrs was slow -only 1 serving. Food portions and quality was fine and was served piping hot. The ground floor is split level and there is also a first floor ( did not visit ) toddlers chairs are available. No background music - large wall mounted tv with subtitles switched on not suitable for wheelchair users. Free wi-Fi along with great value drinks with meals. Long haul route to toilets located in basement. We went Thursday which is deemed a Curry Thursday. Good location and a little quieter on foot fall this time of year. Pity they closed the George Street venue we rated that highly.

Actually for this type of bar, its alright, the food and drink deals are reasonably priced, and the service was quick, the food was more than sufficient for the price, and the beer was extremely cheap, actually cheaper than other wetherspoons in the town, my only hate, was it did feel like sitting in a gold fish bowl due to the vast amount of window area and where the seating is positioned, but that i suppose can't be helped as it was originally an old energy show room, so didn't put me off

While I'm not a fan of the high ups in Wetherspoons itself, I came here to get in the warm and dry while waiting for my hotel to unlock and felt very relaxed. The staff were friendly and have a great sense of humor, and food came promptly in breakfast and lunch. And you can't complain with unlimited tea and coffee refills in the December chill! Overall pleasant, clean and tidy spot.

The place was lovely, my meal wasn't great, chicken burger and chips .The chicken didn't have much flavour. I dont normally have a bad meal in a wetherspoon pub as the food in general is always tasty and value for money, My friend had the cauliflower curry with naan bread, rice and popperdums,it looked delicious. She said it was! The staff were so helpful and friendly. A nice place for a cheap meal, coffee, and a non alcoholic lager. If I was visiting Brighton again, I would go back.

Quite disappointed with this pub. It was quite busy (understandable) and me and my friends managed to find a table, of which we had to clesr ourselves. When I went up to the bar to order, I was greeted by a member of staff telling to read the sign on the bar (that she was pointing to, that said app orders only) and she said that is why there is no queue for the bar. I found this attitude to be rather passive aggressive and not good customer service. I told her I don't have the app and was told I'd have to over via the bar downstairs. Quite disappointing and a major turn off. We left shortly after that. Although, if they wanted that notice, it should have been attached to the tills. Not on the bar, where people don't notice.

Good sized pub with plenty of tables over two floors.Huge selection of beers, wines and spirits all at spoons prices. We popped in for a quick pint and lunch and the food was pipping hot and really tasty. Items were from there 3 for £14. Really good chicken bites.Always a good place to start.

In desperate need of refurbishment! Dirty tired looking place. Chairs all rotten and ripped. Furniture and carpet all stained. Very grim. In fairness though, food was good, along with the beer. Prices have shot up lately on food, beer remains extremely cheap.

See if you can tell which is steak, lamb, pork loin and gammon. A taste test wouldn't help as they were all dry, tough and tasteless
