Fantastic course, always a lovely reception when in Pro shop. Never used the bar yet so cant comment on food or drinks.Only downside is the amount of pitch marks that are on the greens. Come on people look after our courses.

Nice course, windy and challenging. Played here for the first time and will come back and play again.Tee box markers numbering each hole would help as it's not always obvious where the next hole is.Not the friendliest course I've visited but went to play golf, not socialise.

Personally an average golf course for me. Some lovely views, which is the best part. An some nice hole layouts. Friendly welcome in the pro shop so service was good. But the course condition was average, fairways were soo long, greens were ok, couple damaged greens and they were quite long and slow. Putting green isn't worth a practice on before hand. It's an OK track, some great views, but for the £40, played a lot better and nicer condition for less.

Great course, really enjoyed playing here. The bar and clubhouse was great too, I met friendly staff and members (I was a visitor).

Second time I’ve played this course, all be it two years apart. I do enjoy this course, it is very challenging when the wind is blowing. Nice layout and fun, the course has great views.Only issues I had when he dropped stars was a lack of love for tee boxes. And the second and more importantly there is no tee box numbers indicating which hole it is. Really odd…

A warm and friendly welcome from the pro shop team (Dave) and a substantial discount for County Card holders started our very positive visitor experience to this terrific 18 hole course just outside Mawgan Pawth near Newquay on the north Cornwall coast. In spite of recent changeable weather and heavy rain the course was in excellent condition, characterised by its long fairways and fast greens.Although inland from the coast, the views of rolling countryside on a sunny day made a very pleasant backdrop to our round. The course is both challenging and forgiving for golfers of all abilities with very wide fairways helping high handicappers stay out of the long rough. All told, this all made for a very enjoyable round and we would certainly return to Merlin GC if ever we find ourselves on holiday in this part of the country in future.Highly recommended.

The most overpriced golf course in the south west. Not worth the £39 green fee at all, this is the sort of course I’d expect to cost less than £25Most of the course is like plying in a field or park. Dandelions and daisies on the fairway, poorly cut greens and un maintained tee boxes. If they employed some decent green keepers it could be a nice course.
