South Wigston Skatepark

The small section that is smooth is quite fun simply due to the fact that it is the only part of the park actually smooth enough to roll along on, something extremely important that for some reason every single skatepark in the whole of Leicester seems to suffer from. I'm not sure how they expect anyone to use any of them, the equivalent is like not cutting the grass on a football ground pitch and then wondering why nobody wants to practice there.If you catch the park empty can have fun goin back and forth theres quarter one end and bank the other , manny pad in the middle , then a rail and ledge. The rest of the park (majority) is a waste of time being there and either needs knocking down and then redesigned or at the very least smoothed over..2 stars

My local skatepark could be better but some decent bits to transition

Good basketball court but lights didn't come on when it got dark so had to go home early

Although I haven't been skating for years imho this place got what you need to start or enjoy yourself when you're good enough

Perfect for a great many lines for a skate video! A must skate spot for all ages and levels of skill. See you there maybe...

The new bit is the only bit worth skating- nice smooth concrete, flat ledge, flat rail, bank, quarter. the old existing but is pretty crusty. One of the few parks in Leicester with floodlights.

main station building and 'down' platform was located north of the Blaby Road (B582), on the eastern edge of South Wigston.

The majority of the floors pretty terrible for skateboarding needs some repair work doing as the floors came away from the ramps so at the bottom of the ramps it has a lip where the ramps have sunk or the floor has raised up... They do have one smooth part though which has a quarter pipe a box a rail and a little slope... That's best thing about it if I'm honest so 2 stars for me

My daughter and granddaughter and I took our dog for some fresh air. It was very clean and a people were friendly.

Its good when there's not loads of kids sitting on the ramps stopping us from skating
