Not happy with the product and the service I received.I purchased clear casting resin in a 5kg canister. I expected a metal canister but got a plastic one which evaporated a huge amount of fumes even when sealed. Contacted the supplier and they told me the metal canister was supplied for small amounts of resin while larger amounts come in plastic canisters. The picture on the website shows a metal canister which is already a misleading information. I would be OK with any canister if it was fit for the purpose, but the one I received was evaporating fumes. I did not even open it to get the fumes released, and I believe it is not normal for a toxic hazardous product, but the supplier told me it was OK that fumes evaporated, you just need a well ventilated space to keep it. I usually use the Aquallusion resin and the bottles it is kept in do not evaporate the fumes at all! They are plastic as well but I guess they are good quality and just fit for purpose, unlike the canister supplied by EC Fiberglass Supplies.I requested a return and they arranged a collection from my home address which also was not a good experience as they could not tell me when the parcel would be collected and I had to be at home for a few days waiting for the courier to pick up the goods.And the top of it all - it's been over a month since they collected the parcel but no refund given so far. I contacted the customer service and they told me they would sort it asap, but nothing again. I had to open a claim on Paypal and voila! - they responded 3 days later and refunded the cost of the casting resin only, although I returned all items since I did not need them without the resin. The excuse for the delayed return was that there was no note in the parcel and they did not know who it belonged to. What can I say, it sounds as a negligence to me. They expected a return and they have the tracking info for each incoming parcel, could not they check whose parcel it was even if they claim there was no note? I believe they could if they wanted to.Not happy at all and would not recommend, unless you have already dealt with this company and know what to expect.

Honestly the best communication and delivery I've experienced from an online shop. One item I ordered (of many) wasn't in stock so I received a phone call within a working day asking whether I wanted to place it on backorder with an expected delay of 3 to 4 days. I confirmed this, received the remaining items the next day as promised and shortly after had another call confirming receipt of the remaining item, which is on its way.

Very fast delivery and competitive prices, products are of high standard and the tech advice is second to none, staff are really friendly.

Paid £150 for paint from this lot and the whole lot ended up on the street through the winter, believe it or not but the weather just washed the lot off. Called in to see them for advice to no avail. POOR PRODUCT!!!!!! BAD COMPANY!!!!

Gel coat filler does not dry hard but remains tacky so cannot be sanded. The expert" support told me that it is not meant to be sanded but covered in flow coat. Has anyone else heard of a "filler" that cannot be sanded? I also recently bought gelcoat which I am applying the wrong way around

Excellent company! I've been repairing and restoring a 15 year old composite sea kayak that had a lot of gelcoat cracks and some work to do on the interior laminate, and I've managed to source 99% of my materials from ECF (the only one they didn't have was a specific amber pigment). Delivery is reasonably priced and items are extremely well packaged, and they reply very quickly if you email them for advice about things. I'll definitely keep using them for kayak materials.

I have to deal with these guys out of necessity because they supply the west system colour which I use. Everything else I get from elsewhere.There have been two expensive mess ups with the products.If you attempt to complain you are made to feel like a criminal.

Ordered products to carry out a hull repair for next day delivery. Only half the products turned up. Rang and was told they can't actually guarantee next day delivery, even though they charge for it. No offer even to refund the delivery fee for the service they didn't provide. Rubbish.
