Cliff Street Car Park

It's close to the gorge plus a bit cheaper then parking just a few 100 yards into the gorge, spaces are not to bad but can get busy in the height of the season. There are toilets on site as well

This carpark had plenty of spaces. Reasonably priced at £6:30 for the day.Someone had ripped the PayByPhone sticker off. However there was still the location on so I got there in the end.So in case you read this and its gone when you get there.You can use the app;PayByPhone and the location is 801580

IAM getting on in age,why can't I pay with cash disappointed if it wasn't for my son would not have been abled to use car park.

Reasonably priced in the heart of cheddar, not easy to find a space on the busy days but clean toilets and well located

It's a car park At the bottom of cheddar gorge chippy just over road. Then a walk through town shops along the way. Caves at top of town have been in but a few years ago. They used to store cheese in part of the cave and that is how you get true cheddar cheese. Then back to the car and a drive up through the gorge mind the goats on the way.

Best for long stays and hiking. This is the starting point of the trail if you like. Hundreds of spaces and can get busy, but people park near the cliffs too. Good if you are coming from the west of Cheddar. Easy access to the A38. There's paid public toilets too. Many eateries nearby and you can have your fill of ice cream too

a well placed car park here in Cheddar. a short walk from the Gorge and tourist shops. its next to a pub. easy to get to and nearly always a space. i have one concern about it. the public toilet. i could write an entire review on this alone. but the quick point i shall make is this. Cheddar get around half a million tourists a year. yet the state of this public toilet is shocking. its not plesent. the fixtures are all in dire need of repair. the floor is a constant pool of wee and water. there is one laddies and one mens so summer months the giggle line appears as people line up in wait. its truly shocking. one of of not the worst i have come across in the county of Somerset. yet its such an easy fix.xxx update xxx today i called in to use the public toilet and the door has been replaced ot painted. new lock and new hand dryer. also a new soap dispenser and toilet roll holder. nice updates to see.

Nicely located Carpark for the Gorge & all amenities..( walks/Cave's/shops/Pubs ect.. reasonable price..ticket machine cash or card.. ( I only use cash)..& a clean toilet building.. Car spaces are small".. & entrance-exit is tight... & seems to have a queue every time I visit."

Near the lower end of the gorge. There was plenty of space on Christmas Eve 2020. Walking routes have only intermittent pavements (sidewalks) so the walk to the Gorge needs planning and common sense,especially if younger family members are present. You can play with the PayByPhone app.
