Arriving to view the pups in the first place, we could clearly see that Martin is a very dedicated professional individual. Able to answer all of our questions that we had and offered plenty of advice. Our puppy is settling in with us very well. Thank you very much.

We got our dog last year from Marhystin Gundogs. Martin was very helpful and knowledgable. The kennels and environment in which the dogs are was definitely the best that we have seen. Our puppy has grown into a healthy working dog with fantastic temperament.

Labrador puppy Fen is now 4 months old. Martin provided all we needed to take the puppy home, along with plenty of advice and training tips. His passion for his dogs is obvious. Fen is healthy, physically strong, very intelligent and has a loving temperament. He loves water and not surprisingly responds well to a whistle. Training is going well. He is now part of the family and we are so glad we found Marhystin.

I waited for a while to get one of Martin's puppies but I am not disappointed in her at all. She is now 1 year old and has been absolutely fantastic. She was very easily house trained, very clever and biddable proving to be easily trained to the whistle and other commands. A super wee dig with a super temperament. Martin has obviously picked his bloodlines well.

We got our black Labrador pup from Martin and couldn't be happier with him. Finn is now 11 weeks old and literally fully housetrained. We were very surprised how good he was, even when we got him at 8 weeks old! His training is coming on very well and he's a very attentive and responsive pup. Martin clearly gives all his litters the best start possible in life. I would 100% recommend Martin as a breeder, he is clearly really passionate about what he does and extremely knowledgeable. All the advice we got was so helpful and spot on, and the info pack and everything we were given to take away was much appreciated (the training manual is excellent). Last week I collected my new pup - a black male Lab - from Martin at Marhystin Gundogs. Everything from first going to view the litter four weeks prior to that, through to collection went absolutely perfectly. Martin is a very knowledgable and professional breeder who obviously loves his dogs and takes pride in the litters he produces. My pup has been a pleasure in the week I have had him; lovely personality, very confident, and really easy to train. I cannot recommend Martin and his dogs enough and I would hopefully like to buy another from him in a year or so. Last month I got a yellow labrador girl from Martin and the experience could not have been better. Martin clearly is devoted to his dogs and puppies and completely committed to their welfare. He was brilliant to deal with as a breeder, friendly and informative and very helpful. Custard, as she is now known, left with a comprehensive puppy pack and extensive advice on training. Now fully vaccinated she has this week begun to explore the Aberdeenshire coast !

Very happy with our new addition to the family, purchased from Marhystin.The contact with Marhystin prior to collecting our new pup was fantastic and on the day of collection all pups looked in great health.The information pack provided was extensive with each pup's ancestry / vet certifications and tracker chip information. As a recognise Kennel Club breeder we were also provided with 5 weeks free pet insurance.Covid procedures on the day of pickup certainly made us feel at ease and unrushed when choosing our pup.We have kept in touch with Marhystin to let them know how we are getting on with our pup.100% recommendation.

We would recommend Martin and Marhystin without hesitation. We got our puppy from Marhystin Gundogs last year. Our puppy is now 4 months and developing well. From the start we had great communication about the litter and he answered any questions we had. We found Martin to be very knowledgeable and you can tell he has done the work to ensure that all his labradors and their pups are well bred and cared for. The health information on dam and sire was very transparent and available on the website. We were given all the relevant paperwork away with us and a training guide but most important the knowledge that we could always contact Martin at any point in our dogs life if we ever needed any help/advice.
