Works Christmas do. Atmosphere, 5. Company, 5. Booze, 5. Service, 5. Food, 4. It's tricky catering for so many people but not a bad job. It's just a shame the roasties were a bit hard on the outside. Otherwise, jolly good show.

Popped in for cocktails on a busy Saturday. I appreciated the fun, eclectically decorated setting. Yummy daiquiris and a great cocktail selection, reasonably quick service. The staff were friendly and wore stylish aprons. Sticky table :(

Lovely place, came here for cocktails originally which are tasty and 2 for £12.50 before 7 then decided to stay for dinner. Great service lovely starters, shame about the duck being tough and hard to cut through. There was an issue with my main too but that got sent back and remade. Owners are pleasant to chat to and make you feel welcome.

Such a nice venue, it feels old ans characterful and very pleasant to sit in. very centrally located, nearby parking. I have been 3 times in the last couple of months and the food has been good every time. staff are always nice and friendly and its a great independent business and is a little gem. There's plenty of options on the menu if like myself you are veggie and the cockatils are rather good as well. Its not the cheapest place but I personally feel its worth it. Also if you love desserts you should defo try the dessert platter board!

Came in for drinks and quickly given a table and told to order from the bar. Choose drinks and paid. 15 minutes later we asked a waitress where our drinks were to be told they are just making them. 15 minutes later asked another waitress. She came back and asked when they were ordered as cannot see a ticket for them. Gent at the bar found a ticket with our drinks on them at the bar and offered a refund. Was told sorry it’s because we are busy. Got a refund. Shame

This is possibly the best Cafe & Bar in the British Isles. Its where traditional meets contemporary and eclectic. Interior design is all from reclaimed items which adds to the authentic feel and comfort. So interesting to relax and absorb the ambience. Food amazing, great menu and tremendous chef. Staff friendly, professional and keen to please. Thanks to James, April and Leonie - keen to please and engage. Drinks including a range of cocktails, wine and draft. All carefully served and top class. Must visit place when in Plymouth.

Booked in here having read some good reviews and have been previously for drinks and cake. The staff were very nice but lacking in knowledge about the dishes. We ordered a smoked pear and blue cheese salad, a ploughman’s sharing platter, some roasted potato fingers and some local specialty bread and butters. The salad had a pear, not smoked, diced into it, very little cheese, no salad dressing on it or offered, no pumpkin seeds as advertised and was more like a starter portion. The ploughman’s board was incredibly bland, very poorly prepped coleslaw with big pieces of unsliced cabbage and red onion with the skin on, cheery tomatoes straight from the fridge and tasted of nothing, at over £30 for this board we expected far better quality produce and some interesting flavours. The roast potato fingers were deep fried fat chips, hot but absolutely not roasted! At over £5 for the bread, i was appalled to have two small slices of brown bread and then enough butter for a whole lot more, if you were running short just say and charge accordingly! The wine was very nice and the ambience also but the food was a huge disappointment. We did not make a fuss at the time as we did not want to spoil the atmosphere of our family get together. All in all the food appeared to have been prepared by untrained hands and did not in any way represent value for money.Big fur coat and no knickers is a phrase to describe our meal.

Had an excellent Christmas meal with work colleagues. Roast turkey dinner was really cooked well and as good as home cooking. Lovely interior and atmosphere, great service. Really enjoyed it. Good value too.
