Halfords Autocentre Wakefield (78 Ings Rd)

I have to thank Martin who looked after me from start to finish when I needed a battery for my car replacing. Showed me the options, fitted it and checked everything was OK. Top man and he is an excellent reason for me to go there in the future. 11/10.

Went in to buy car battery, found within 5 minutes, double checked with staff all OK arrived home released 4 nots took battery off fitted new ,car start first time all good

Had Nextbase dash cams fitted front and rear in my Fiat 500X at Halfords Wakefield.Fitter was ADAM whom did a GREAT JOB.I would highly recommend them.Great Service and Price .

Booked a service for fitting of dash cam face to face.asked then twice is it booked as there is no confirmation message . When reached there they said there is no appointment and we are full.. person talking named OLIVIA was roude and inconsiderate. Very poor service

Booked for a MOT and service as I had only had the car 6 months, if I had not got a 2nd opinion 2days later I would have been £1200 out of pocket with the list of issues they said were wrong with my car. NEVER EVER GOING BACK

Took my car in for a wheel alignment and they returned the car to me with the exhaust hanging off! I explained to them that it was perfectly fine when I dropped it off and they wouldn’t take responsibility for it or be bothered to fix it. Store manger was rude and gobby. The guy I spoke to about my car just laughed. Avoid them unless you want your car back with problems they refuse to rectify. Before I dropped it off, I was waiting in line to hand my keys over and the store manager was treating the customer in front of me terribly. That should have been the red flag to cancel the service, it would have saved me a lot of bother and money. Oh yeah they couldn’t do the wheel alignment either.

Was told last week by a sales assistant that he would book me in for a “free repairs check” (this is also advertised on Halfords website) to see to a problem with my card headlights. Turned up this morning where they took my car for a few hours, basically told me they couldn’t fix it and that it was the fault of the people I bought it from as they fitted something wrong. They said they could fix it but it would be expensive, they didn’t provide the actual quote. Then upon returning for my car they asked me for £49.99?! I told them that I was promised this was a free check and I wasn’t expecting to be charged. The manager became very arrogant blaming the sales assistant for telling me the wrong thing. After some back and forth managed to get my keys back and left without paying. Have now contacted the garage I purchased it from and they have said Halfords have a reputation of scaremongering customers so they can charge them more. Will never come here again.

Used this Halfords a few times. Service is quick and efficient. Staff are quick to inform you when your car is ready to pick up. Overall pretty good for a large chain.

Purchased 2 brand new tyres for $550.00 including wheel alignment,they fitted the tyres which is an easy job to do and left the wheel alignment because it took long,I'm driving with the new tyres getting worn out due to uncompleted work by Halfords.poor customer service.

Went looking for an electric scooter....the staff member that assisted was very knowledgeable on them and very helpful and kind.He gave me lots of very helpful advice and an honest straight taking view of the products, reliability and servicing, which was extremely helpful, rather than the usual sales pitch that you often get in stores , a very welcome change.The advice was so good and honest that I bought a scooter and very happy with it.Store is easily located, wheelchair friendly and lots of stock items and choice in store.Highly recommended, thank you.
