Ayrshire Self-Service Launderette

My hotel didn’t have laundry and I was running out of clothes mid trip. Bring coins and detergent (liquid or powder- I used powder) as they only provide machines. There was seating and folding tables. All machines were in working order and easy to operate. Washing times are quick regardless of cycle type including delicate/woolens (30 minutes). Drying times are in increments of 15 minutes for 1.5 GBP. I went midday on a Thursday and it got busier before I left, so be prepare to be patient if there’s a wait!

Clean and tidy but would appreciate some instructions on how to use the cycles on the machines.

Hi. Went into Ayrshire self service launderetteToday. To wash and dry duvets. Used biggest machine. Big sticker saying £5. So. Put £2 to start. Then found it’s actually £7.50.Felt very ripped off . Beware of prices big difference between £5 and £7.50.Wondering if cheaper to drop into laundrette as it’ll probably cost over £10 to wash and dry.Just to be aware. I had two duvets to wash but only did one as other was only a few months old. Regards. JimAfter unfair reply to my post above . I have to say there is a sign on this machine saying £5 per wash ! It does not say from £5 or standard wash £5 or any other explanation. Perhaps you should apologise for your mistake. Having a Scottish Law degree: This is a legal contract and at best it’s miss-leading / unfair advertising at worst fraud. Also there is no number to phone or explanation regarding the extra charges. That is what is UNFAIR not my honest fair review. You should makeup sure and change this immediately.RegardsJim

Here I am again. !!! It’s my 3rd visit to Ayrshire Self service laurndrette. . Took my grand daughter with me. She was in her element helping her Gran. As usual a very pleasant experience washing and drying 3 loads. They come out the dryer needing next to no ironing. Honestly it’s a pleasure doing my laundry now.

Laundrette is lovely and clean. The only criticism is it would be good to have a change machine. Folk nowadays use cards to pay things so you don't always have change handy.

Very good facility to use for doing your washing or drying. Various sizes of machines, depending on your load size. Big machines can be used for duvets, dog beds, etc. No change machines or washing products, so take your own.

Clean place to get your laundry done. Small machine costs 3£ and a small dryer for 15 min. Will cost you 1£. There is enough space in front of the place to park you car as well.

A really lovely laundrette! Very clean and smells lovely. We don’t have a dryer at home so finding space around the house to dry clothes is a nightmare and messy! Popped in tonight and put two loads on for £2 each (30 minute dry) and it was perfect! Clothes and towels were all nice and dry and we managed to pop into Tesco whilst waiting. Will definitely be using this Laundrette weekly as it’s just lovely!

On the road for six weeks call in lovely young lady help us out with washing machine.
