If a formal structured social gathering and non-biblical practices are followed then this is one of those establishments. However, if a gathering of real Christians is desired, and Biblical principles are adhered to, do look somewhere else!

A beautiful chruch located next to water of Leith and easily accessible by water of Leith walkway. Building of chruch was combination of historical church along with modern cafe. Graveyard next to chruch was very peaceful and clean. Overall it was very relaxing environment and can be thoroughly enjoyed. It also insight to work of Robert Louis Stevenson who was famous Scottish writer.

The Swing Café (located inside Colinton Parish Church Hall)The Church Hall is modern building and has café run by volunteers serving up teas, coffees, cakes & light lunches between 10am and 2pm on weekdays. Very professionally organised, warm welcome, and good range of very good value home made produce, include a range of gluten free baked goods and bread. Modern building is light and airy with huge windows overlooking Water of Leith. Popular with walkers amongst other folk. Highly recommended!

Nicely kept graveyard here,also near by Is a walk way into the dell's but unfortunately it has been locked off by a big metal gate. maybe it's just a temporary measure due to repairs of the steps that go down in to the dell's.
