Great coffee shop, got lucky as I was the last customer before the coffee machine broke! So plenty of seating and was quiet in there as I was eventually the only customer.

Coffee was hot enough to drink straight away, but it definitely wasn't hot.Toasted sandwich felt a little empty and was only toasted on one side.Wasn't asked about eating in/takeaway, so automatically was give single-use paper cup and the toastie was in a cardboard packet and not a proper cup/plate.At 3.20 I was asked finish and leave as they had to wipe down the 7 tables and clear up for shutting at 4pm. I had luckily finished my food, so took my luke warm coffee to sit in the drafty train station. They closed the doors at 3.50 and told people who tried to enter that they didn't have any more coffee, they just had tea.

I have been going to that Costs for a few months now and I have no complaints about the quality of service or the standard of which it's being delivered. I used to work for Costs myself and I would not have said no to working in that store. At times it can be slow as a former Costa worker I know it's not the staff flaut. It's all down to the times it takes to make a coffee and to make it Costa standard plus they can only work with the amount of people they are allowed per shift. The store is spotless you can clearly see all the staff make a effort especially that young girl as I have seen your clean the skirting boards before..

Me and my partner came in whilst waiting for our train on 24th of March at around 2pm. The lad behind the counter had a horrible attitude toward our order - 2 frostinos. Had no effort to ensure we had a good experience, and was overall quite rude. The quality of his drinks were terrible - not following procedure in making the drinks, as a former employee for Costa Coffee it's something I know very well. Rather than the smooth, creamy texture expected - they were chunky with ice, little to no blending, and lack of any real flavour as expected from Costa's usual great service. Needless to say, we won't be returning anytime soon. Unfortunately I didn't get the member of staffs name as he does need additional training.

(edit- costa did refund me my lost beans nearly 2 months later after 2 attempts to contact them))Poor experience at this Costa- the workers were severely under trained. Firstly, the cashier used my 2 free drink vouchers without asking me, and then he proceeded to also charge me for the drinks so I had no idea that the vouchers were used. I only noticed 2 weeks later when I went to my app to use the vouchers and saw they were used- and I also have a bank charge. I contacted Costa but never got a response back so i have paid double for the drinks basically. Secondly, ordering 1 tea 1 latte took 15 minutes and there was only 2 customers ahead of me. Nearly missed my train. Definitely the cause of under trained staff.

Staff were useless, queue out the door, order met with a grunt, first coffee was made stone cold, replacement was made (no apology). Love Costa's wall art 'its our people that make it'. Yeah, slowly, badly and angrily.

The service is absolutely great, but when I ordered a flat white, I was given a huge cup filled to the brim with warm milk. It was in no respect a flat white - Costa, train your staff better!

I went to this store for a flat white to take on the train. There was a young girl working alone with a queue to the door so my drink took longer than expected (to no fault of hers as I could see how hard she was trying to work). However, I saw another member of staff, a man with a ponytail, loitering in a back room even after seeing the queue and disappearing into another which is unacceptable. The young girl however made me a lovely flat white and deserves recognition for working through the large queue alone. The staff member with the ponytail should learn what it means to work as a team as working in hospitality myself this would not stand in my own place of work and shouldn’t in this costa either. Overall I would not visit again as having to wait in a queue that long is not appealing.
