Nelsons have recently carried out our office move. Fantastic service, value for money and the lads were a great team, they took a lot of the stress out of moving an office, nothing seemed a bother and they made it look easy! Bought 3 seater sofa from a well known shop. They don't actually deliver so they gave me Nelsons of Durham phone number which I rang when I came out of the shop. I only live 6 miles from shop & I'd only been home 15 minutes & there were the guys with my couch! I was probably lucky with timing 2 guys were very friendly & very professionally efficient. Job done! Thanks Nelsons can't thank you enough.

A reliable removal firm. I've used Nelson's repeatedly over the years and have always found them to be the most competitive. The staff were polite and hard working. We had a five bedroom house and they had it packed and moved in four hours. No breakages. Highly recommended

I contacted Nelson's to move my furniture from a three storey town house to an 1860's cottage where the access wasn't great, the door openings were narrow and the stairs were steep.I'd been quite stressed about how they'd manage to actually get my furniture into the house. I need not have worried. The two gentlemen who looked after my move were exceptional.They were friendly and courteous, professional and experienced.I can't thank them enough for making everything so much easier than I'd expected.I genuinely couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Great pity - I wanted to use Nelsons for my house move in Durham City, but they failed to provide a quote despite being hastened three times - then rang my wife to ask if they’d sent her a quote - which we still haven’t received three months later. Their admin seems a bit chaotic. Judging by other reviews, they’ll provide you a good service if they remember you want them to provide it. We opted to go with one of their competitors who were more responsive and professional.

This is the only company I would ever use to move! They moved me back in October and the two lads were fab! Nothing was too much trouble. Nothing damaged, on time, fantastic service and amazing value! Then today I needed two heavy sofas moving from my garage to the living room - no problem! Two lads came and again nothing was too much trouble. Thank you and I would and will highly recommend you! Merry Christmas

They seemed really great, until they just stoped responding to my emails. When I called them they said they were booked up until august, despite having already told me my moving date would be fine. Don’t bother with this company, massive let down.Edit: this response from the company is dishonest. I sent them a response, and after not hearing back for a matter of days, I sent another. I still did not get a response from them.

I used Nelson's for a couple of relocations within Durham, and most recently for what turned out to be some fairly long term storage followed by a delivery to a new property. After overall excellent service and good experiences, especially with the movers themselves, I had some some issues with the billing that didn't make sense to me. Mr. Nelson came over to my place personally to discuss them and resolved the matter in a very reasonable way, with humour and integrity. I hugely appreciated this unexpected gesture -- the man is a class act through and through and I can highly recommend doing business with his company.
