Onyx House

Absolutely brilliant house, stayed as a large group of adults and kids for a long weekend. Immaculate, with loads of spacious rooms. All bedrooms great size and the different lounge areas are all lovely. Plus 2 bars and a champagne lounge with a fantastic view. Would definitely recommend this house, Diana was really helpful arranging beds for the kids and made us very welcome.Really good location - we did the pleasure beach and illumination’s as well as a day in Lytham. Loads of choices of local restaurants.Absolutely a house we would book again.

Our recent stay at Onyx house was excellent! As a 3 generation family group of 13 and a dog, we had more than enough space and were all hugely impressed with the size and decor of the house. It was spotlessly clean and had some lovely little touches like blackpool rock and dog towels and treats left for us, fresh milk, tea, filter and instant coffee provided. We self catered for breakfast and evening meal and would say that everything you could possibly need to do so, was provided, including 2 dishwashers in the kitchen which made the clearing up much less of a chore. Close proximity to Blackpool, and right next to a tram station, there is so much to do nearby for all ages. We had an amazing time, so much so that we booked up again the day we left. Highly recommended for any large group.

We had a wonderful stay at Onyx House. What a fantastic property! There were 13 of us, and we had so much space, in really well thought out rooms all equipped with everything we needed and beautifully decorated.The host communication was first class, and there were so many little extra details throughout the house that we found extra thoughtful.Love, loved the top floor!!We will definitely be returning. 5 stars is not enough!!

Just come back from a fabulous long weekend at Onyx House, as a group of women who were friends at school about 50 years ago! We had an amazing time, and could not fault the house or communication with the owners. We really appreciated the comfy beds, the roomy bedrooms, and especially the shared spaces. The kitchen is huge and very well equipped, with prosecco, ground coffee and even things like dishwasher tablets and cling film.There were sticks of Blackpool rock and sweets in the bedrooms, and dressing gowns and plenty of towels provided.The champagne lounge was a superb place to relax, with excellent views over the sea, comfy sofas and even a small kitchen with dishwasher (and more coffee supplies!).The house does have a lot of stairs - not ideal for anyone with mobility issues. I think my fitness levels must have improved going up and down the stairs, though, and maybe I burned off a few of my wine calories!We all agreed it was a fabulous house for our get-together and would return and definitely recommend. Thank you Sophie and Diana for providing such a fantastic, well thought-out holiday base.

Fantastic!Just returned from a long weekend with friends at Onxy House and can honestly say the house was perfect. We're a large mixed age group and the house suited our needs perfectly. There was plenty of room to socialise as a big group or find a bit of space to just have a quiet few moments. The top floor champagne lounge" is a great social space and has fantastic views of the beach and sea.The bedrooms are all a good size and half have ensuits which was nice. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could possible need!The welcome pack of tea

Just back from a long weekend at this amazing property. We were a party of 16, aged from 15 to 88 and 3 dogs. We all arrived at different times but the first reaction of everyone was WOW. Extremely spacious so we never felt on top of anyone. Comfortable, well appointed rooms with a wonderful Beach bar, kitchen/ mezzanine and champagne bar on the top floor. All essentials were provided including towels, treats and bowls for the dogs. 2 dishwashers in the kitchen, one in the champagne bar and sound speakers in the communal rooms made entertaining a real pleasure. Ideal location- seafront, tram stop and amenities right on the doorstep. Easy communication with the owner Sophie and Diana the housekeeper. Planning to return in 2024.

I wanted my 60th birthday celebrations to work for all of my family and this wonderful house made it easy. With twin babies and two other children included with the large group of adults we needed a large home for a long weekend that could accommodate all of us. Onyx House was perfect. Every room was lovely, no one had to put up with anything less than the best. Sophie and Diana were wonderful throughout the booking and arrival process, nothing was too much trouble! Oh my goodness, there were such a lot of extras included that it surprised us! No need to bring a supply of Nespresso pods, there were plenty! Sophie recommended a few local chefs to cater for the ‘party’ and we chose Matt Varley and his lovely wife. Oh my! Did he do a great job of a fantastic Spanish Tapas evening! Thank you so much! We all had a ball and I hope to go back and do it again.

This is the second time we have visited and it was even better than the first time. With a large family it’s difficult to find somewhere for all of the family including kids and dogs but onyx house is spacious enough to fit us all. The house is clean, stylish and has everything a large family needs for a great stay. The hosts are great at communicating and extremely accommodating. They also throw in some really lovely extra touches which make our stay even more special. We would definitely recommend and will visit again.

We rented the house for 3 nights for a hen weekend and the place was perfect.All the rooms were clean, very well decorated and extremely comfortable. Having separate lounge areas is great as it allows people to have their own space if they want. The kitchen is amazing with a large dining table so everyone could eat together. It has all the mod cons and a big cooker and American style fridge freezer. Plenty of tea and coffee we're also provided which was a nice touch.Everyone loved all the little touches from the Blackpool rock to the super cosy dressing gowns.This place is in a lovely area, right on the sea front but away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but only a short tram right from the city. The tram stop is a 2 minute walk from the house. There's also a large Sainsbury's 5 minute walk away and lots of restaurants and cafes close by.Our family will most definitely be back to Onyx House in the future.

Just returned from a fabulous weekend at Onyx House. Eleven of us gathered for a school reunion and were easily accommodated with room to spare. We enjoyed all the facilities on offer, especially the Champagne lounge at the top of the house where we watched the tide come in and go out. The perfect place to gather for a chat and enjoy whatever beverage takes your fancy.Everything that Blackpool has to offer is nearby but not too close for comfort.I would highly recommend this accommodation but people with mobility issues may struggle with the stairs.
