We did the full day from Whitney Bridge to Byecross campsite, excellent paddle, the team at Want to canoe were great and the cost was good value for money.

A peaceful and relaxing afternoon padde down the river. Everything was explained as we were a bit nervous not having done this before. My elderly mum really enjoyed the experience and was provided with a back rest. Would thoroughly recommended.

Want to canoe? Really looked after us the day we went. We got given clear and concise tutorials as well as encouragement throughout and being based at such a gorgeous site, it was easy to have a good time. The conditions weren't ideal as the water was relatively shallow, but the kit was high enough quality that this wasn't an issue. We were really pushed forward through how lovely the staff was and that made the ending that more sweet, coming towards a friendly and welcoming face. Definitely recommend from all the canoe companies!

Haven't experienced canoeing before but the staff put me at ease with a good explanation beforehand. Loved it, only wished I had book a full day rather than half a day. A great fun way to exercise.

After planning our canoe trip with Clare, we had a great time on the day with Finn, our instructor making everything clear. Having time for lunch at The Boat Inn and then being picked up afterwards was a nice touch.

Just had an amazing canoe trip along the beautiful river Wye... Only booked this morning, but the guys were able to fit us in (possibly helped by the heavy rain putting others off!). We were a little apprehensive as my husband and myself were taking our two very nervous Labradoodle sisters with us - their first river trip. The four of us were kitted out with buoyancy aids and given a comprehensive run through of all the relevant information, including safety advice, key points of our journey and the simple route to follow. The end result was a really enjoyable journey along a beautiful and quiet stretch of water - none of us got wet (other than rained on!) and even the dogs were able to chill out and take in the scenery. Can't fault the set-up with 'Want to canoe?' ‐ their friendliness, efficiency and attention to detail was spot on. If you are considering a canoe experience but are of a nervous disposition this is the place to go!

A great day out, with simply the loveliest staff, from booking through to greeting, training, and care on the other side of our journey. What a beautiful journey through a very special part of the world. It's not your fault we capsized. :) Thank you for the laughs, and the memories. Some businesses are just blessed with that 'special something' that makes the employees working in it truly care for every detail of the customer experience - bottle that and replicate please!

Go now and book a trip with this company! I cannot imagine anyone who wouldn't enjoy it.We saw their billboard from the bridge and wandered down there recently, on a sunny afternoon. They said they can't normally accommodate walk-ins but they did that day and we set off on a gorgeous 6 mile paddle 15 minutes later. The people who run this place are really nice- they take safety seriously, but not so seriously it spoils the fun. We set off with water, a map, a canoe, flotation devices, a barrel to keep our phone and keys dry, and advice for all the potential areas we could run into trouble.Words can't do justice to how beautiful the river is in summer. We spent a lovely 2.5 hours meandering along the river, seeing scores of herons, ducks and other birds and for about half of that trip we saw no other people- not even on the banks. Because the river is quite shallow there are no motor boats on it and if you go in the late afternoon (like we did) or apparently in the early morning you won't see any other canoers either.Because the water is quite low at the moment we had to get out at one point to push us over some rocks but the rest of the time it was a very gentle paddle. There are spots deep enough for swimming but alas ours was a spontaneous trip so we didn't have any swim stuff with us- but bring it if it is a nice day!At the end, we moored up in a pub with a very relaxed return schedule- we had time for a drink before the minibus took us back but they'd have been happy to wait if we wanted a meal or more.I really can't think of a better way to spend £25- book a trip, you really won't regret it. Lovely people, lovely river, lovely day.
