Great dining for a good cause, who doesn’t support that? The restaurant works with a fixed menu of 4 courses. There are optional courses as well. In each course you can choose between fish, meat or veggie. To each their taste.Everything is locally produced, which we loved and very much support.Nice open kitchen and staff is very helpful. The restaurant is quite remote from Glasgow city, but you can get there by bus.One small thing, it would be nice if the staff would give a little more information on the cause and their mission.

Atmosphere was wonderful, staff absolutely lovely. We had problems finding the venue as the outside lighting wasn’t turned on when we arrived. It’s apparent that the food is locally sourced, everything was so fresh. All my courses were delightful but my husband’s beef was extremely tough. I did wonder if part of the concept is to keep the costs down by using cheaper ingredients. Although beautifully done, potato confit was a questionable item. Both deserts were with on the intense side with caramel ice cream, but both were excellent. A fruit option would have been nice.I didn’t leave feeling over full, which suited me brilliantly. Those with larger appetites might feel underfed, as small portions. The venue ticks all the boxes for guests. Affordable, locally sourced, near public transport, delicious and in aid of The Beatson Cancer charity.

Lovely staff, who seemed well trained. Lovely atmosphere. Lovely food too, but there wasn't nearly enough of it, despite having both the optional courses. ... Aware that it's for charity, but all 3 of us would have paid more for more food. Also took too long (2.5 hours). Course 1 should have been an amuse bouche, it was microscopic. Won't return, but do wish it well. Got chips on the way home!

The concept behind Beat 6 is great and the be applauded. However, the experience was fairly disappointing. I was excited to get stuck into a great Sunday roast, but honestly, I felt like I should have homed cooked one. While it tasted OK, the potatoes and veg were hard and dry, possibly having been prepared earlier and reheated. The meat was OK, but not a great cut, with quite a bit of gristle. Best dish was the sticky date pudding. Overall, the portions were small, as is the location. The tables are really close together, so you are very cosy with the diners either side of you. With the meal fully served, the plates didn't quite fit on the table. A great concept, and the team worked hard, but there are better Sunday roast options out there.

Food was delicious and plated well. The only dish I wasn't a fan of was the beef tartare - not the fault of the staff. They apologised and offered me the veggie option which was kind. Wine pairing is highly recommended. What makes this Six By Nico restaurant special is all profits (above operating costs) go to charity.

Great experience for a fantastic cause. The staff were super friendly, explaining each course and always happy to help if needed. A few of the courses weren't to our taste (chicken parfait for me and the gazpacho for my partner) and we were instantly offered an alternative. The rest of the menu was delicious, hazelnut parpadelle being the highlight. Pistachio parfait is my new favourite thing! And the trio of pork was delicious.Nothing to do with the restaurant itself but the website is needing improved as we didn't have a clue what the vegetarian options were until getting there despite messaging the social media team. I also don't agree with a 12.5% surcharge added to bills, even if it can be removed if requested. However a lovely night and great to try some new flavours that I wouldn't usually see together.

Absolutely out of this world. The food was perfect. I've never tasted anything like it before. 10/10. Excellent value for money for a tasting menu.

Food is excellent, and lovely to have this on my doorstep. Only drawback was the price of a glass on wine unfortunately. Staff were very attentive, so big shout out to them.
