Kumon Maths & English

Our son Daniel joined Kumon at 4 years. We have seen an incredible improvement in his reading, hand writing and most importantly general confidence. The studies have boosted his self belief a value that cannot be underestimated currently among young people.With Kumon, adhering to all the expectations of the tutor and curriculum gives an edge to any student and brings out capabilities in them that without a push would not have been optimised. A massive thank you to Ms Berta Rapoz who is our local Kumon tutor.

Kumon is a great way to teach kids the importance of doing something little and often helps them to master a subject. Berta is a great teacher, knows and monitors kids individually. Her commitment towards teaching not only for the subject but also discipline the child to be well prepared for next phase of life.I wish Berta and the students who volunteer support her all the very best for future..!!

My son has been attending Kumon classes since Year 3.I have noticed improvements in both his math and English skills.The main advantage I've observed with Kumon is that it keeps the kids busy in such a way that they have something to do or write every day after school.

All my children are on the kumon programme. my eldest started kumon 3 years ago. Kumon has greatly improved her ability to concentrate on tasks. It has boosted her confidence in maths and English. My middle child, I was once worried about her being summer born and the youngest in her class. She started kumon at the age of 3. This child has surpassed me expectations. She is well ahead in her class in Reading, writing and maths. My youngest, 3 year old that started the kumon programme about 3 months ago is now conversant with his phonics and has started reading. He is also learning the basic skills of handwriting. Though we are work in progress.On the 8th October 2023 the kids enjoyed a fantastic award ceremony where they were awarded medals for their hardwork. Thanks Berta for putting together such an amazing celebration. We appreciate the work you are doing.I would recommend kumon to all parents. However bear in mind that this programme is not easy. Your child will probably kick against it and protest. You need to have patience, time (be available) and be ready to commit to the journey. It's about you (parent) supporting your child to become independent in their learning.

My daughter started her Kumon journey with Berta two years ago(English) and I must say she has greatly improved under the guidance of Berta. I must applaud her teaching technique and all the hardwork she puts towards her students especially the end of year awards.

Our children started Kumon just before turning 4yrs old and we have never looked back. It's been a great way for us to get involved with our childrens learning - understanding and seeing their progression first hand, as well as giving a benchmark and confidence that they are at the level they need to be. However, the most important element is giving our children the opportunity to develop at their own speed and learn how to study independently. Ultimately for us we wanted to make sure the children enjoy learning and school by making sure they always have the support they need. It avoids the stress of ad-hoc interventions when things go wrong - pro-active rather than reactive. Kumon gives us all of the above and more through the passionate tutors and flexibility to work around our schedules! Highly recommended!

Mrs Berta has helped my son since he was 3.5 years old, she was the only Kumon teacher who did not disregard him on the basis of his age, and gave him the opportunity to see if he is ready for the Kumon programme and provided him with an assessment.She accepted him and has nurtured his growth in many aspects, she has helped him focus, gain confidence in reading, writing and being more observant.We are very lucky to have Mrs Berta guide my son, because of her, his Salford reading assessment shows that at the age of 4.5 his reading age was 6.5.Kumon is the best step we have taken for my son’s educational foundation and would recommend it to everyone. Along with English and Maths skills the children learn life skills. They understand consistency, discipline and patience. I am excited to see what else this journey will for my son.

My 9yr old daughter is currently attending Kumon, studying both Maths and English. The extra tuiton has given her a solid foundation in both subjects, especially maths , kumon gives solid arithmetic skills, mental maths and working at a faster speed at a very young age. My other two children also in year 13 &11 both attended Kumon, when they were in primary school they were both called Times table machine and no one beat them when doing a test in maths.All these are based on the fact they attended Kumon classes , even though the children found it stressful doing worksheets everyday but the benefits of Kumon are innumerable and I would highly recommend ….. this to parents to give their kids a good start for their future education.

Berta is am excellent teacher. She knows each and every child who attends her sessions and makes sure that every child shines and recognises their own potential. Berta also works hand in hand with parents.Berta will go up and beyond to help children to achieve their goals.Awards ceremony hoisted by Berta is the best thing for kids, as it encourages every child to up their game and take influence from other kids.I would recommend Berta highly.Thanks

Both of my daughters attended Kumon from a young age with Berta and I couldn’t recommend it enough. In terms of Maths and English skills to their dedication and commitment to completing booklets - Kumon has helped them immensely.
