Uffmoor Wood Car Park

Beautiful woodland to walk around. Lots if dog walkers.

Perfect for a forest walk especially in late October as not only is it truly beautiful and most of all peaceful.Managed to spot a Stag fallow deer on my travels and he was fairly close, unfortunately unless you're very quiet and don't stink of perfume, you may not see them.If you are interested in foraging you can find loads here. WARNING !!!!!! If you don't know what you picking DO NOT PICK IT and I'm extremely serious here as some mushrooms i.e. in my photos Fly agaric are poisonous even though deaths are rare but you will regret eating them.I did forage some sweet chestnuts which are perfect for roasting, again make sure you're sure it's sweet chestnuts NOT horse chestnuts. Decent size ones too.The best thing about this place, it's not the deers or the foraging, it is the peace and soul repairing forest where you can find yourself the perfect Me time.So, if you or you know someone who needs to feel better in themselves, please get your boots or wellies and pay Uffmoor woods a visit

Good car park for the woods or to walk up the Client Hills

Its free and you can walk the kids and dog.

We often come here to walk there are wide paths so social distancing is not a problem, there are bluebells in spring and dear in the fields on the far side. Streams wander through the woods and there are a couple of ponds. Lots of birdsong. We even saw a boar deep in the undergrowth one time.. today end of march the minor paths are still muddy in patches where it seems the water does not drain so well..maybe its clay soil underneath.There are even areas where owners can let dogs of the lead, .but in others they must be in lead.No loos no cafe but lots of trees.

Great place for a walk.Lots of different trails, mostly flat.Very muddy - wellies reccomended!P. S. Thank you to whoever picked up my dogs halti lead and left in on the fence in the car park! ♥️ 6/3/2021

Sufficient car parking spaces available for a cold winter's day. It has hard standing so could accommodate motorcycles if necessary. Ground immediately surrounding car park is very boggy, so any over-spill would have to park at side of road.

Lovely walk here and decent car park for a small wood. I saw deer and loads of birds and tiny baby frogs ! Its peaceful and easy to find your way around. It is slippery and muddy with wet weather but is stunning with it without sun! Will definitely be coming back as i dedicated a tree to my late great grandparents and uncle for my Nan !
